Dr. Carter saved my life almost literally. I have had RLS since ce I was around 12 or 13. I'm 46 now. Trying to find a physician who is knowledgeable about this condition and understands how it truly affects a patient is terribly difficult to find. I was getting 2 hours of sleep a day and teetering with suicide. I finally was referred to Dr. Carter by a pain management doctor and he listened to me, believed me and treated me appropriately. He retired 6 months after I started seeing him and I was terrified until he said he had let his colleague know about me and my case. I have not had any problems with UTSW docs until my last visit but that's not on him of course.
