He may be knowledgeable about thyroid issues, but he does not treat patients as individuals. I have Graves Disease and responding to treatment quicker than the “average” patient, and he’s never been able to adjust to that. Example: After looking at my labs on 1/6/2020, Dr. Damberg wrote a note recommending I cut my medication in half, so as to not have my thyroid swing the other direction. The note was dated 1/6/2020, but postmarked 1/13/2020. To make matters worse, I didn’t opened it until 1/22/2020 thinking it was just another bill or survey. There were no phone calls regarding the medication change or notes on MyChart. So I was taking double the dose of my thyroid medication for 16-days. My labs on 1/28/2020 showed my thyroid went from one extreme to the next. I was not happy. I asked him why nothing was put on MyChart, and he said most of his patients prefer a letter in the mail vs. MyChart.
