Terrible experience.
This Dr spent less than 5 minutes w me, treated me like a number, seemed annoyed I was even there. His office staff was nice but didn’t make up for the dr’s demeanor. I’ve been back to the office several times and I haven’t seen him since my first visit. I was hoping he was just having a bad day but I think he just needs to retire. I won’t be going back to him. Too many other great docs out there that treat you like a human being and not just a number.

Horrible!
The worst experience I’ve ever had with a Dr. He needs to retire, bc he clearly doesn’t care about patients. Saw me for a few minutes, had no bedside manner and no time to answer questions. Hoped he was just having a bad day. Returned several times and never saw him again.. only the PA. I’m still in pain and have no answers! Will never return. He’s not the only game in town, I’m going to see someone else who has time to listen and treat me like a human being, not a number. Would give zero stars if I could bc 1 is too much!

Knee injury
My husband was flown to Danville. Which was the best thing, because there is how he got treatment from Dr Fanelli. Thought he was gonna lose his leg. Well here we are 18 years later and still going. Thank you Dr Fanelli

Apathetic at best...
When a doctor sees you for literally less than 60 seconds, orders a test, doesn't read the full report, misses the diagnosis, and is rude when asked questions for understanding...apathetic is the nicest description I can provide. Sad part is there is such a demand that nothing will change and no one cares, so he will do whatever he wants and continue with his attitude of superiority.

Rotator cuff repair
Jenna was extremely helpful and professional from my first visit with her when I told her that I thought I had a torn rotator cuff. She went out of her way to get me scheduled for x-rays, MRI , and then my surgery. She truly cares about her patients. Dr. Fanelli is an awesome surgeon. He is a perfectionist and that is exactly what I want in a surgeon. Had a great recovery and now no pain in my shoulder. Thanks so much to both of you!

Dr. Fanelli, and Jenna were Amazing. My surgery for total knee replacement had been postponed over and over due to Covid, and I was in Pain. Finally Jenna got in touch with me about trying something new. "In n Out Surgery" for the TKR. Jenna made me feel so at ease I agreed, and had total confidence in them doing what was best. Turns out I was Dr. Fanelli's first In n Out procedure, and a complete success. The Entire team made me feel so good about it, so confident I was actually looking forward to going home the same day rather than stay in-patient with no visitors. They had me up and walking the same morning, and I was home before noon, and felt just a sigh of relief, after such a wait. I came back 2 days later for a dressing change and it was amazing to me (and all involved) how well I was doing in such a short period of time. It is all due to Dr. Fanelli, Jenna, and the Presurg folks, Post-Op, the in-house PT people who got me moving. I would do my left knee in an instant !

Dr, Fanelli and Jenna, PA were great to work with. I had shoulder surgery the end of May. I followed up with PT (Justin) at Woodbine and I am definitely on the road to recovery. All were great to work with and helped in my recovery. I have been told that shoulder surgery will take a while for recovery but I see improvement every week. I would definitely recommend Dr. Fanelli and Jenna , PA . Thanks!

Very abrupt..really didn't care what my problem was with my shoulder. Offered me two choices..live with it or have a total replacement. I felt that because I had brain cancer he wanted nothing to do with trying to help with my shoulder pain. In looking at the report on the MRI I received, I know there were things that could be done other than replacement or live with it. He recommended pt but I explained that I could not do that as with my brain cancer we were running all the time for treatments, etc and could not afford more running and that we had several pieces of equipment that I could use at home. He constantly gave smirks when I asked a question. I felt like I was being turned away due to my cancer. He offered no alternative suggestions as to help with my shoulder pain. I also felt as though he was treating me like a person looking for drugs as he never even mentioned pain management or anything..just live with it or total replacement...

I was involved in a motorcycle accident and had damage to my entire lower body. I went to 12 diffent knee surgeons and they all did not want to touch my knee due to the injuries. Dr. Fanelli and his Pa Jenna were absolutely amazing. The repair my ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL minscus in my right knee. And my ACL, LCL and miniscus is in my left knee. Dr.Fanelli is by far the best knee surgeon that I have ever worked with I would highly recommend anyone to go see him. His team is incredible.

Dr. Fanelli is highly respected by his colleagues and had an outstanding reputation among patients. I have been a patient of his at least 4 times for knee problems and have sent my wife to him. He always gave me options and time to consider them. I felt no pressure from him to do surgery and believe he advised me as a brother. I have been told by other staff and several doctors at the hospital that he treats many athletes and is their first choice.

I was referred to Dr. Fanelli for surgery and after driving 2hrs, having to stay overnight for a 6:45am appt, he was in the room for <1 minute! He sent me for tests (which I told his staff I needed the updated MRI) and then had me come back down and wasn't going to come in the room-sent his PA in. He then stated I'm too young for a knee replacement that 3 other surgeons recommended and said if I had it done I would never run or be active again. He called me lazy & fat which I'm not! I lost +60lb

Dr Fanelli is fantastic! I needed multiple ligaments reconstructed and others repaired I my knee and he did a awesome job. I work as a Rn in a operating room and in my feet all day without him I never could return to my job. The recovery is a little longer than I anticipated but I'm not 20 anymore wither. He is always professional and kind and caring. He actually listens to his patients.
