I dislocated my kneecap and broke my ankle at the same time. After my leg immobilizer came off, the doctor told me I wouldn't need physiotherapy in a clinic - instead, he told me that I should just do leg lifts at home for my knee, which he barely took two minutes to show me how to do. (Not to mention, he gave me absolutely nothing to do for my ankle.) After six weeks of doing these leg lifts and not even knowing if I was doing them right, and concerned that my recovery wasn't satisfactory, I asked him for a referral to a physiotherapist and he outright refused. It's been eight more weeks and I am still fearful and unable to do simple things without pain or discomfort, such as get up/down from a seated position and even walk. I have no professional guidance to help me figure out how to recover properly because this doctor has the level of compassion of an undertaker. This is my honest and truthful experience up to date. My deep hope is that it changes.

My husband had to have a emergency gallbladder removal, it was gangrene. Dr. Ivins was amazing. He has been in twice a day to check up on my husband and has walked us thru this difficult process with care. He has explained everything in great detail about how it would go. I appreciate his care.

I will never recommend this doctor to anyone. I had the worst experience of my life. I went in for a procedure which was extremely painful and excruciating. He did not provide any prior warning to me, nor did he offer me any pain killers prior to or during the procedure, despite the fact that I was crying out in distress and in extreme pain. He was rough and harsh with absolutely no compassion at all. He was cruel, abrupt and totally rude. It caused me extreme trauma and anxiety

This doctor was the rudest and worst treatment as a patient I have ever received. Cared nothing about my concerns or complaints and does not care about your discomfort or pain. An hour after surgery he basically said to me as I was screaming in agony "you had surgery, it hurts" and walked out of room. On 1 week return he didn't even examine me.

I had surgery to treat a problem. The problem was fixed, but improper splinting caused worse problems. I just saw a orthopedic specialist today, and he said the problems I now have were cause by improper and unnecessary splinting and immobilization of perfectly good fingers and hand.
