I was referred to a Doctor @ Shands by a Tallahassee surgeon. They called me to get my insurance info before I made the 3 hour drive. When I arrived I was shuffled out quickly with an order for an EMG. I had the EMG done but didn't hear back for 30 days so I called. I was told by Dr. Murad's assistant she wasn't aware the results had been scanned into the system but would make the doctor aware of the test results. Another 30 days and still no contact, do I need a follow up appointment ? I called again and was told Dr. Murad was busy with speaking engagements but she would remind him. Two weeks went by and I called again and was told my request for information on what to do would be expedited. Two weeks later I realized I would never hear from them. Either the assistant or the doctor dropped the ball. I wrote a letter to the head of the Neurosurgery department describing my experience but never heard back from him either. Now I have to begin the process over again. I can only assume th

Dr. Murad is the best physician anyone could ask for. He genuinely cares for his patients and their full recovery. One can really trust Dr. Murad and the decisions he makes concerning their surgical needs. I trust him with my life without hesitation.

I had a two level (L4-L5-S1) fusion with Dr. Murad. His team was amazing and the level of care is 5 star. I have read the bad reviews here and can only sumize that these folks had bigger problems then any doctor could resolve. We are all told of the possible consequences of surgery prior to having them and beleive this particular doctor and the entire UF Neuro team are amazing.

In July of this year Dr. Murad recommended and performed a minimally intrusive laminectony due to my stenosis on my low back. While I assume the operation was performed with professional expertise, my left leg discomfort has not been reduced for the three months that have passed. I inquired of his offices if this was unusual, and no reply has been forthcoming. So unfortunately, though he is very competent, I think, and even a very nice guy, I am not able to recommend him at all.
