During my initial consultation, I informed them about being diagnosed with a small tear in my retina. The attending doctor, whose name I can't recall, assured me that undergoing RLE surgery would not pose any issues. During subsequent visits for pre-op and post-op, I experienced prolonged waiting times, and the tasks performed by seemingly inexperienced trainees appeared questionable. The surgery itself was stressful, as an argument erupted between the doctor and one of the assistants. Subsequently, when scheduled for a YAG surgery, the doctor, upon examining my eyes, urgently advised me to see a retina specialist due to the existing tear (which I had initially mentioned). The retina specialist highlighted the riskiness of undergoing RLE without addressing the tear first. I wasn't happy about that. On a separate note, I never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Parkhurst, despite expressing interest multiple times, as it seemed reserved for select patients, if you know what i mean.

So thankful for Dr. Parkhurst
After years of glasses and contacts, I visited Dr. Parkhurst's office to see about corrective vision surgery. The procedure was quick and painless and Dr. Parkhurst did an excellent job explaining how the procedure would work and what to expect after and it went about to "t" without any hiccups. I can't give him enough praise because I don't miss fiddling with contacts or glasses or yearly appointments to get stronger glasses lenses. Do note, there are two minor things to consider: (1) Your eyes will always see direct light a little different (halo effect) and (2) Dr. Parkhurst warned me that somewhere way down the line I would have to come back for a enhancement surgery as your vision naturally fades with age.

Treatment for Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy
Was referred to this M D and clinic, because was told he was the best in treating Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy. Had a great experience with the friendly staff and extensive evaluation but once done and saw MD, was told they don't treat Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy only cataracts. Had to be referred out to another clinic/MD specializing in Fuchs. So why does his site say he treats Fuchs. Very annoying and misleading. That needs to be corrected ASAP.

Best Doctor there is!
Dr. Parkhurst and staff were phenomenal! The entire experience from walking in the building, to getting my LASIK, was a breeze. I cannot believe how fast it was and then I was walking out of the building with no glasses. I get to wake up every morning and SEE. I can't thank Dr. Parkhurst enough for helping me get out of glasses and contacts! Highly recommend Parkhurst NuVision!

Amazing
I’ve talked myself out of LASIK for years. Always came up with an excuse. Now I’m just upset with myself for not doing it sooner. The moment you walk into the building you are greeted with a smile and put at ease. Everyone is kind and very informative. My experience has been amazing and I would tell anyone to “Go, go now! Don’t wait!”

After My One Month Post-op, My Biggest Regret is
I hesitantly went for a Lasik consultation and a part of me wanted to hear that I was not a good candidate, but I was! I appreciated that the doctors took the time to answer my numerous questions to ease my anxiety and that I was not rushed to have the procedure. They wanted my eyes to be at their optimal health to ensure the speediest recovery possible. They explained what I should expect the day of, prior to and after. I am a parent that works full-time with a hectic schedule, so I appreciated the staff emailing me in advance my pre-op and post-op instructions days before the procedure. After my one-month post-op, my biggest regret is not having done the procedure sooner. Yes, you may need to use eye drops regularly for some time after, but the benefits far outweigh the minor inconveniences. The staff has been friendly, compassionate and caring. If I had to send my 90th grandmother for an eye surgery, I would refer them to Dr. Parkhurst, Dr. Wiechmann, Dr. Vanrachack or Dr. Nasser!

Grateful
When our son was 5 years old they told us he was going to have to wear glasses, we felt so sad for him. He is our only child and our mission is to give him the best life. We told him at that time, the day his eye was mature enough, we would get him Lasik surgery. When he turned 22 we began to do research and felt that Parkhurst was the best choice. He had a unique prescription; 20/400 vision. He was far sighted, near sighted an had astigmatism all in one eye. The other was perfect. After several evaluations, the surgery was approved. We want to thank Dr. Vanrachak who went to bat for our son. He spent a lot of time reviewing his case and consulting with the other doctors. Surgery was a success and it has completely changed and improved his life.

Great place with great doctors
I was trying to get my cataract surgery sooner and I came across Parkhurst NuVision and they helped me get an early appointment. When I visited them for the first time it was really a pleasant surprise! Everyone was very cordial and they have the latest equipment and they took the best care of me and my surgery before and after the surgery up to one month. I feel so fortunate for being their patient.

ICL surgery
The team at Parkhurst is amazing! Awesome customer service and professionalism! I just had ICL surgery and it was the best decision! My only regret is that I did not do it sooner ! I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts since the 3rd grade and now no more! I had zero pain during the entire process. I remember getting robbed in college while I was sleeping in my apartment and I woke up to someone standing over my bed! I got up and chased him , however I could not see who he was ! This surgery was such a life changer for me . Thank you Parkhurst!
