One severe bunion, with a hammertoe that entirely crossed over the big toe; the other foot was not as severe and there was no hammertoe. Had both feet fixed within six months of each other. Other family members had had the old style bunionectomy done years before and I was extremely apprehensive about pain. I had so little pain that with both surgeries I only took 3 doses of prescription pain meds. Weight bearing in a boot within two weeks and the boot was off at six weeks for both feet. I can wear regular shoes, although I probably won't ever wear real high heels again! One foot occasionally aches, but it is easily controlled with aspirin or heat. Dr. R and his staff were very easy to work with and communicated well. (And as a bonus, the docs and staff at the surgery center were amazing.) Great experience all around.

Dr. Rouw thoroughly answered all of my questions and left me feeling better educated of my condition and my foot felt better within days of this visit!! Great experience!
