Dr. Gregory Sketas III, MD

I have severe S.A.D and CPTSD. I struggle to communicate and express myself at all. This 'Doctor' has a hard time letting me finish my statements. The last time I was in there, I never asked, but he was bragging about running a 5k every week ... all the while talking down to me about my issues without letting me actually finish my statements about my recent experiences. He instead interrupted me numerous times, telling me what he thinks the problem is without actually letting me explain myself and what the experiences I had been through in the last couple years were in full.Absolutely infuriating. I left that appointment feeling disgusted, neglected, and like I'd wasted a lot of time. Oh and speaking of time. This appointment I'm mentioning, I was on time, and he didn't see me until two hours after the scheduled appointment. Then I was lucky to have MAYBE 10 minutes of his time.What an absolute joke of someone who considers themselves a 'professional'.

I moved here in January 2020 and saw a doctor at Chi St. Vincent in HSV. My doctor in Rolla MO gave me excellent care was at Mercy Clinic affiliated with Chi St. Vincent so I started here. This was a big mistake! The woman doc showed no interest in my health nor care. She may have been fresh out of college because she demonstrated no knowledge nor experience. So after a couple of visits, I decided to change doctors and found Dr. Sketas. I found him to be genuinely interested in my health and care. He demonstrates knowledge, experience and kindness. I’ve read the negative reviews of Dr. Sketas and it is total opposite from my experience. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Dr. Sketas is a caring, knowledgeable, and attentive doctor. He listens to us, explains himself very well, and even goes to the internet to show examples to ensure understanding. He has never rushed us - quite the opposite, even when he fitted us in as “walk-ins”. Jessica and the rest of the staff are helpful, kind, and professional. We are extremely thankful that we found Dr. Sketas and his staff!! THANK YOU!!

Dr. Sketas was arrogant, rude, argumentative, and condescending. He treated me as if I was so far beneath his superior intelligence that I wasn't worth listening to. He lacked basic knowledge concerning issues I have lived with for over 40 years. For Ex., to say that something is "reversible" is to say it is curable. Asthma, can be well controlled. But to say it is "reversible" or curable is simply not true. A steriod inhaler does not replace a rescue inhaler. Dr. Sketas lacked basic knowledge across a broad spectrum, including medications, how they worked and what they were for. He panicked at my medical history and treatment regiment and made several assumptions without having my medical records in hand. When I said I would just go elsewhere, Dr. Sketas wrote fraudulent assumptions down in my patient profile. Dr. Sketas wrote these in such a way, as to negatively label me in order to hinder my medical treatment elsewhere. This one visit was a total nightmare.

I have a titanium hip degenerative bone disease walk with a Cain and can only use 60 percent of my hands and he told me to jog for ibs!Sketas is a incompetent twit. Crippled people can't walk right, how can they jog! Absurd!! Truly unbelievable. The follow up he never came in the room and sent a secretary in to give me a piece of paper threatening to give me poor health care if I stayed(already have give me life threatening advice! Hill Billy methamphetamine baby!

I have lived in the area for 8 years and have been unable to find a primary care doctor that listened and really seemed to even be interested. Dr. Sketas listened carefully, addressed the issues I have, and made me feel cared for and valued as a patient. I recommend him to everyone I know. He is knowledgeable, caring, and takes his time to listen.

An absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, kind & caring Dr. One of the best experiences I have had while living in Hot Springs since 1984. Dr. Sketas talks WITH you, not AT you. If you are unhappy with your current physician, I HIGHLY recommend you change and see Dr. Gregory Sketas.

He has no compassion or knowledge, regarding women’s health issues. He refused to authorize a refill, even though the medication is documented in mychart, with my primary doctor refilling it in April 2018. He made me feel as though “my patient care” was not his priority. He is not a seasoned doctor, and his knowledge base on women’s healthcare is limited. I will not be recommending him, to anyone.
