Caring physician
Dr. Striegel has taken care of me and mine for years and I'm so grateful to him. He's so smart and tells you like it is. Just a great human being.

Absolutely terrible. Condescending, rude, doesn’t allow you to answer the questions he asked. It was clear he didn’t want to be there and instead wanted to rush patients in and out. I’ve been to NW Prinary care previously and never had an issue with a provider. He was absolutely awful.

As a teacher, I am around children with a myriad of infections. It was not surprising then that, in September, I went to the Immediate Care facility with greater-than-normal upper respiratory symptoms and pains. I found Mr. Striegel rude, discourteous as he interrupted my questions and explanations numerous times. He was in a hurry; his verbiage diminishing. It was clear he was lacking good doc-side manners. I would never recommend him to a family member. After finally reaching my PCP three days later from Palos, I was given antibiotics for a sinus infection.

Dr. Stiegel is one of the best doctor I ever had. I have stage 2 progressive M.S. the day I became bed bound he walked into my hospital with such confidence, He went through all he would do and gave so much hope , There was a hoyer lift waiting for me at home. Then my bed sores were not healing , Dr. Striegel came to my house 4 times (turned out to be a defect in the bed) I have not heard of a doctor coming to a house since the Brady bunch . I could go on for hours but if you have any questions you can e mail @ therman.4@hotmail.com thank you

If arrogant is what you're looking for in a doctor, he's your man. His exact quote, "Specialists don't know what they're talking about. They just want to run tests." Apparently, he knows everything. My husband was a patient for a year and returned to him with symptoms. Dr. Striegel blew it off. My husband then went to Immediate Care the next day. They told him Dr. Striegel was on call and they would tell him he was in the office. Dr. Striegel left without seeing him. A few days later we went to a different doctor for answers and my husband was taken to the hospital for a stat brain angiogram with a suspicion of a brain aneurysm that Dr. Striegel failed to workup and ignored. I called Dr. Striegel to tell him what was happening. He repeatedly called my cell phone while I was in the hospital just to tell me he gave my husband excellent care. Then when I returned home he was on my home voicemail leaving a similar message. Unreal!! Needless to say we never saw him again.

I would and have recommended Dr. Striegel to all of my family and close friends. I have had four prior doctors over the past five or more years, and I can easily say thatDr. Striegel is the most thorough and covers all aspects of my care and treatments. He definitely goes above and beyond what is normally expected!!! I do know that I am truly blessed by having him incharge of my cars and wellbeing. I believe wholeheartedly that anyone would absolutely agree, in the first hour of meeting him!!! Simply the best!!! Thank you to him and his staff God Bless You All

Dr. Striegel is very thorough, courteous, and knowledgeable. Please do not believe the other comments. I've seen a few other primary care physicians, and have stayed with Dr. Striegel for 3 years now. Definitely recommend.

Our parent was a new patient, and now, an ex-patient! Striegel was rude, arrogant and obnoxious when our sibling, worried about our parent called to ask him important questions about medication side effects. After refusing to sufficiently answer questions, he hung up the phone. Terrible.

I'd give an even lower rating if I could. He treated my elderly 90-year-old mother horribly. When I questioned a course of antibiotics he gave her upon a second discharge that had already caused horrible side effects, he hung up on me. Refused to fill out forms for respite care for her unless I took her out in 26 degrees temps to see him even though she'd been to his office one week prior. VERY rudely told me that maybe I needed to take a day off to bring her to his office while I was literally standing in her apartment after having spent the night with her because she was afraid to be alone, basically insinuating that I wasn't caring for her. Rude, arrogant, condescending...he should stick to his Immediate Care gig where he can shuffle patients out the door quickly because patient aftercare is obviously not where his interests lie.

I’m sad that Dr Striegel moved to another practice. Kelly was AMAZING! His whole staff was! It was an office right out of DocHollywood! They were all so caring. Every time I had an asthma attack or other serious issue, THEY would always check back in with me a couple times. I felt like they really knew me when so went in and didn’t just read my chart and name before I walked in. They really were the best practice. I am so sad he moved into another practice. I will miss the staff. I hope at the newer bigger place, I won’t turn into just another name on the chart :(
