Good Surgeon - Minimal Communicator
Dr Waryasz was a second opinion on Achilles rupture. So glad the office gave me a quick appt. His assessment was quick and accurate, but I felt his style to be a bit aloof. Surgery went well but was surprised he did not communicate with me after surgery. To date, have only dealt with his PA in follow-up.In short, I feel like he is a great surgeon, but needs to step-up on the communications front.

Non-chalant
Seems I am not the only one who had a not so great appt with Dr W. I waited 2 hours to see him for 3 minutes of time. Ordered me an MRI and then told me to do 3 months of PT and go see a pain Dr when the results came in. When I questioned him about the MRI results and the findings he dismissed me. I also mentioned I had the same issue with my other foot 10 years ago and after chasing 3 different Dr's I found one who was willing to scope it - turned out I had shredded tendons. I'm looking for a new Dr.

Left without any discussion
During the appointment, it was rushed and was provided with little reasoning or strategy for treatment options. There was little to no discussion of why and how it would help the situation vs other treatment options. His plan was to send me to physical therapy while barely presenting ideas on the issue. There was no room for questions, he left in a hurry. Appointment was all of 10 minutes. The rest of the staff was cordial and respectful.

the best doctor i have ever seen
after being left untreated for a year because my old orthopedic gave up on me, Dr Waryasz was confident he could fix me and scheduled surgery at only my first appt. i am not a few months post op and have been living my life pain free which is so incredible compared to how much pain I was in last year. he is a delightful doctor and takes action when he sees a problem. thank you so much for giving me my life back !!!

Expertly repaired an severely broken Talus bone.
After being misdiagnosed by two prominent Maine orthopedic foot and ankle doctors, I was incredibly lucky to find Dr. Waryasz. Instead of fusing my ankle, which is what Maine docs wanted to do, he expertly repaired a severely broken Talus. Three years later, I’m at about 95% function. I highly recommend Dr. Waryasz.

Inattentive to the point of disrespect
This was a shockingly awful experience. Given Dr. Waryasz's high ratings, I was expecting a helpful appointment. Instead, I was met with a terse, dismissive doctor who paid no attention to me or my questions beyond his cursory test of my ankle's strength—he literally began to leave the room without asking if I had any questions; I had to stop him at the door to ask them, and then still received terse and vague responses that left me uninformed. Worse, though, is that he wrote different things in my after-visit note than what he did say to me in person, leading me to feel completely uninformed and confused about my prognosis and even what my realistic goal should be with the treatments I was pursuing. The rest of the staff was great; the x-ray tech in particular was lovely, but this was an incredibly demeaning, discouraging, and near-useless experience. The one star I am giving here is for the couple of treatment suggestions I received.

I had an 8/10 severity Liz franc fracture of my foot. Dr. Greg Waryasz had to put 6 screws and some plates in my foot to stabilize it. The injury was so bad that the above hardware will need to stay in forever. After about 12-15 months, I'm back to about 90-95% of my pre-injury self, which is a huge victory, as I was stuck around 60% for the first year. Dr Greg's exacting work proved to be exactly what my injury needed. I am in his debt. If you need any work of this nature, feel confident that you have the best working on it when you have Dr Greg in your corner. Hope I never need him again, but nice to know he's out there.

After a misdiagnosed Talus bone break and a bleak prognosis with two Orthopedic surgeons in Maine, I turned to Dr Waryasz and his team at MGH Foot and Ankle Clinic. He did the surgery that should have been done in Maine, and he used every tool at his disposal to repair my very badly broken Talus bone. For the first time in 6 months I’m walking again. It will take more time and much physical therapy to fully heal, but Dr. Waryasz gave me back my mobility and for that he will always be my hero. His administrative and medical support team are equally impressive. I feel grateful for Dr Waryasz and will Continue to recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic care.

Excellent, this is a very talented surgeon, who did a great job on a very complicated Pillion break of my leg/ankle at MGH, recovery has been a long time, over 6 months.  I had many office visits with him, plus a couple of surgerys I would bring in 20 questions at a time at first, in all but a couple of times he would take his time and answer all,at a couple of times he was probably behind schedule and rushed a bit , but I understand, If you want the best, you got to put up with a little at times. By in large he is skilled and friendly but he is a very busy guy.You want the best you go to Dr W at MGH
