It is without hesitation that I recommend Dr. Gregory Weinstein. He is the absolute best in his field and if you receive a cancer diagnosis like mine, trust me, you want the BEST. Dr. Weinstein has been, and continues to be, thorough, professional and reassuring throughout my entire cancer journey. In 2009 I was told I had stage 4 Head and Neck cancer. My ENT in Allentown, PA, suggested I consult with Dr. Weinstein at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) for a second opinion. He did not steer me wrong. I had already consulted at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and was prepared to go to Anderson and Johns Hopkins, but after meeting Dr. Weinstein at the HUP, I knew this was the best hands. Dr. Weinstein exuded confidence when he told me he anticipated 90% chance of cure, precisely what I needed to hear at the time. He offered options of surgery only, surgery/radiation or surgery/chemo/radiation. Ultimately, I opted for Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS,) the procedure Dr.

I am a Registered Nurse of 35 years who received the diagnosis of p-16 positive squamous cell carcinoma in October of 2017. Being a medical professional, I wanted to seek the BEST medical provider and facility to give me and my family the best long term outcome while minimalizing any potential side effects. After doing my research, I chose to travel from Florida to Philadelphia for treatment with Dr. Gregory Weinstein and his team of professionals. This turned out to be the BEST choice I made!!! I am now 15 months post surgery and 13 months post radiation and am dong extremely well. I continue to fly up to Philadelphia every 3 to 6 months for follow up care. It is obvious that Dr. Weinstein and his team are dedicated to their profession and are very proficient in their specialties. The care that I received post-operatively from the Nurses at HUP (Ravdin 9) was phenomenal! I would highly recommend Dr. Weinstein to anyone who has been given this unfortunate diagnosis.

My experience with Dr Weinstein and his highly professional team was excellent. I don't usually write reviews but felt compelled to do so now. Since the issue is cancer, you want your life in the hands of the best possible team and that is Dr Weinstein and the people working with him. I was diagnosed by a local ENT and he immediately recommended chemotherapy. I called a close friend who is an ENT for advice. He didn't hesitate to tell me that if he was in my position he would go to Dr. Weinstein. I did and have never looked back on that decision. Dr. Weinstein proposed an alternate treatment that did not require chemotherapy. It involved both surgery and radiation. It was proactive and aggressive and I very much appreciated the way he communicated the options (objectively and clearly) and executed the plan. If you are reading this, I strongly suggest you talk to him. You won't regret that decision.

I Write this without hesitation or forethought, but simply put Dr. Gregory Weinstein and his dedicated staff saved my life. After the diagnosis from another Doctor, I was referred to Dr. Weinstein for my care. From the initial terror of the diagnosis And my acceptance that case was and outcome was not going to be good. I met Dr. Weinstein, he evaluated me and gave me the unexpected hope I never thought I had. His Confidence that he could cure my issue and that he could give me a life back was a conversation I will remember for the rest of my life. He Basically told me, to live my life and he would worry about my Cancer. (I really felt like this was a team effort with him and his staff on my side committed to a positive outcome.) I have been Cancer free now for over 5 years, but the impact that he and his team has had on me and my family is one we will never forget. Even in my follow up care, He spends the time (As busy as this man is) to talk about other healthy life choices (Di

Keeping this short and sweet but with no reservations he and his team are the best. I thought things were hopeless after my cancer diagnosis. I couldn’t believe it was me. I thought I was invincible. Apparently not. My wife bumped into a nurse While I was having a scan done and asked who the best was and she was told Dr. Weinstein. I know sooner had an appointment with him, had a treatment/ recovery plan, And was on the schedule for two lifesaving surgeries one of which was the robotic surgery. Without dragging on the details I am happy to say I just had another 3 month scan and visit with the good Dr. and am 2 years cancer free. Dr. W and his team are top notch and I absolutely recommend him. Follow up appointments can sometimes be delayed but this is because he is taking time with each patient to make sure they are well informed in every aspect about what is happening with them and their care. You can’t put a time limit on it. Thank you Dr. Weinstein and all the staff at HUP

Dr. Weinstein is a highly skilled doctor with great experience in solving difficult throat cancer afflictions. In my case, he performed robotic surgery to remove a cancerous tumor as well as right and left neck dissections. I had stage 3 throat cancer and because the surgery was successful required no radiation or chemotherapy. I have continued to see Dr. Weinstein for follow up examinations over the last five years. His concern for his patients is always present and I would highly recommend him.

Dr W operated on my neck, removing 42 lymph nodes in April 2016.. I was recommended to see Dr W from a respected ENT at Paoli hospital . I figured that if he, the Dr I liked at Paoli did not want to do the operation, the person that he recommended must be good. I met with Dr W in the pre-operation meeting in April, 2016. Dr W was very thorough, exuded confidence, a huge desire to help and trustworthiness. What more could I want. After the operation, I met with Dr W frequently......every 3 months. Sometimes I waited a long time for him. I guessed and was told by his very nice team that he was meeting with a first time patient before my time... No problem. Over the years, Dr W made a point to always ask about my teaching, my spare time or just anything friendly. I enjoyed our friendly talks and always tried to get him going with something going on. He always returned the talk. I have enjoyed our relationship and hope he has enjoyed mine.

I believe the positive results I experienced beginning with my cancer surgery, then radiation and now follow-up care are the best I could ever hope to achieve. While I’ve taken seriously every recommendation and done my part in terms of the prescribed strengthening exercises and lifestyle habits, the surgical skill, radiation precision, therapeutic specialists and overall attention to me as a patient have made the journey one for which I feel so grateful. I never could have imagined that my care would be so exceptional and thorough. I’ve felt every visit that I was in good hands, that my specific medical needs, questions and concerns were important to the professionals seeing me, and that my emotional and mental well-being were as important as my physical healing and progress. While each patient is different, and some outcomes aren’t positive, I just don’t think care could be better anywhere else. That extends even to the parking professionals, elevator attendants and cleaning staff.

My first ENT in NJ told me I had a 20% chance of throat cancer, it literally took 2 visit to have him jam a scope into my nose. This took all of 30 seconds after pushing my biopsy back to Dec 28 of last year discovered I drew the short straw. Yes it was indeed cancer, you could only imagine my complete shock. Researching for surgeons in this field brought me to the man that co developed the robotic surgical method. My cancer was stage 3 and meeting Dr Weinstein who immediately explained what he needed to do I was undergoing another biopsy in the next few days. Not months as I previously had waited. Then he had a treatment plan in place. Dr Weienstein and his team provided me top shelf care. It is not an easy road to recovery from something like this, however where you start will provide your end result. Dr Weinstein takes the time to listen answer any questions with straight answers. He also suggested a radiation oncologist at another facility for a better outcome. Patients first WOW

Three years ago when I learned that I had throat cancer that metastasized to lymph nodes in my neck I asked the oncologist in NJ that I was seeing what would he do if it were him. With any hesitation he said if I could have Dr. Weinstein do the surgery then he would opt to have surgery. Boy I am glad that I asked and listened to him. From day one of meeting Dr. Weinstein I know that I made the right choice. Hearing that you have cancer and it had spread is a very scary and frightening but from that first visit I know I was in great hands. What I like the most is that you know immediately that he cares and it showed in how he answered every question and concern me and and my family had. His staff are always friendly and professional and you can tell that they care for theIr patients too. As a former PoliceOfficer it is never easy interacting with people in a negative situation but by showing that you care and show compassion while doing your job goes a long way and that’s my experience

We saw Dr. Weinstein, my wife has throat cancer, he was very rude, it seemed the appointment was more about him then my wife. I'm sure he is a good doctor, but he needs to treat his patients with more respect. We will not be going back to him because of his arrogance.

Dr. Weinstein removed a very agressive cancer on my husbands neck 10 years ago. He received radiation treatment and went into remission. This year, oral cancer was discovered during a routine dental check-up. It was likely caused from the earlier radiation treatment. Dr. Weinstein was able to save most of his tongue as to not impact his speech. He is now cured & my husband was able to see his daughter graduate college, grad school and lastly, to walk her down the isle. Thank you Dr. W. & HUP.
