He would not waste his time reviewing MRI
I was extremely disappointed. He seemed rushed and was rude. I've been in constant pain for years and was looking forward to my appointment. I read my MRI report and had a printout of the terms so I wouldn't be lost as he review my report with me. I never go to use the printout of terms because he absolutely would not review it with me. Apparently, all I needed to know is the word severe wasn't on the report, so there was nothing he could do. When I read my printout of the report that said severe disc height loss, he just dismissed it and said it was what he would expect to see with normal wear & tear. I got the impression he had argued with someone else who wanted surgery because he kept interrupting me and saying there was nothing he could do. I was prepared to ask about alternatives to surgery if he suggested it, but I never got a chance. I had a printout of the xray showing my dislocated tailbone. He wouldn't even look at it. He decided I didn't have pain there so not a concern.

Excellent doctor! Explained my options and the procedure to correct debilitating pain resulting from a ruptured disc at the C6-C7 level. I woke up pain free in post op and experienced a complete recovery and return to normal life. Great bedside manner which put myself and my wife at ease with this surgery. I would highly recommended Dr. Wiggins.

RUN!!!This doctor is a horror.Bedside manner atrocious. I had referrals from several people,My PCP, another surgeon, my mother in law who was on the board at Bronson Hospital. He had no back up plan. So when I came out of surgery. He said I had a small fragile bone and that he put a screw in and hoped it would hold. It didn't.The plate slipped and broke a vertebrae, blew out a disk. then had to go in again 6 months later, with no backup plan. No other Dr. would see me after the 1st surgery.

I am not a ideal patient for any surgery since I have a auto-immune disease that complicates things. Due to this Dr Wiggins said he would only touch me with a 10 foot pole unless it was absolutely necessarily. Once it was clear I required surgery everything was done perfectly; My rheumatologist recommended Dr Wiggins and i whole heatedly second that recommendation.
