Kind and Knowledgeable
Dr. Koontz is very sweet and takes the time to give you thorough explanations of any abnormalities or difficulties during your pregnancy. The follow up office visits were efficient as you can have your ultrasound, see the doctor, and have your bloodwork drawn and still be finished in less than an hour. The only complaint I have is with the midwives who I followed up with later in my pregnancy. They seemed to not know the answer to some of my questions and just said “hmmmm” with out looking in to the problem any further. One midwife also tried to talk me out of my scheduled c section when I was already 36 weeks. I did not appreciate this as it was a decision that I had already made with my primary OB and Dr. Koontz who both agreed it was best for me and the baby given the complications I had faced during pregnancy.

Dr Koontz went above and beyond to take excellent care of me. When bureaucratic miscommunications threatened cancel my scheduled procedure, she volunteered to come in and perform the procedure herself - and the procedure worked! I am very grateful. She has excellent bedside manner, excellent knowledge, explains things well, and has excellent excellent hands. I can't say enough.
