Great for years
Been a patient of Dr Thomas for years and think he is awesome. Always takes the time with me and explains everything. He only finally put me on high blood pressure.edixine after all other avenues were exhausted. Had to make last minute calls more than once and he staid late once to treat a spider bite. My opinion you won't find a better doctor or person

Has no control of office staff
My husband and I needed a new Physician so we decided to give Dr Grayson Thomas a try. We started going to him in 2022.The Doc was very efficient. Fast forward in Oct. He lost his wife. The beginning of 2023 we went to him in February. My husband was told he has Diabetes. Since we were leaving for a 3 month trip he really couldn't do much for him. 3 months later my husband was put in the hospital in Alabama and he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. My husband was give a CT with contrast at the hospital in Alabama. Well we went to see Dr Thomas on July 25, the doc decided to start with a general surgeon to put in a stint in his gall bladder. My husband was scheduled a PET scan over a week half later. The doc did refer him to UF Shands for a General surgeon. I called UF and found out the Fax never made it to UF. My husband called Dr. Thomas office and asked for it to be refaxed and to call back to let my husband know that it was faxed. Never happened.

Good primary care physician
I have been seeing Dr. Thomas for several years. He listens to your problems and explains his treatment plans. His staff is always courteous and caring. The office accepts my insurance, so the paperwork is minimal. He offers telemedicine visits which was convenient during the height of the Covid pandemic.

I relocated recently to Ocala. I was recommended to Thomas Internal Medicine by a neighbor. I will not be doing the same for anyone asking me for a doc. I think Dr. Thomas might be good. However, the operations of the business is horrible. I was referred to a different office for a colonoscopy. I am long overdue for a check up. The referral was SUPPOSED to have been sent almost two months ago. After not hearing anything from the office I was referred, I called only to learn the referral was never received. When I called Dr Thomas' office to let them know the person on the phone got defensive and confrontational. Two months is way too long to wait, especially when I have a history of problems with my colon that I reported. As of this writing, I still have no appointment for my colonoscopy.

Both my husband and I have been seeing Dr. Thomas since we retired and moved to Ft. McCoy. We had a couple of friends who used him and referred us to him. Both Dr. and his staff have always treated us very kind and with respect. He has taken the time to talk with us regarding any issues we may have. I have had some medical issues which were hard for me to discuss and Dr. Thomas gave me his undivided attention and did everything possible to make me feel comfortable when discussing these issues. Also worked with my insurance to see that I got necessary treatment. Again he and his staff are highly recommended by me and my husband for the job they do. I have in the past recommended him and will continue to do so to all my friends and family that live in the area.

Very knowledgeable providers. I have worked in Healthcare most of my life and I know the second I walk into an office what my experience will be like. As a patient I found both the M.D and the PA's to be patient, friendly, and experienced with a variety of disorders. What I most appreciated was the opportunity I was given to be treated as a whole person and not just a symptom of my condition. The doctor didn't just throw a prescription at me and call it a day. He took his time getting to know me both on a medical and a personal level. That is an important part of patient care, what people do in their everyday lives affects their health and those things need to be addressed. I am totally satisfied with the care I am receiving. These are thoughtful providers and I look forward to my continued care and recovery

Dr Thomas was great at 1st as time went on he changed. He did listen and cared now it is like Do as I say and for get you. I asked for him to send me to a Infectious Disease Dr. They said NO. The nurse was very rude to me and said I had to see who Dr Thomas wants me to see and not a quick fix. I called the Ins. Co. they said I could see him if that is what I want to do. Ins. Medical people sent me to Infectious Dr. They did more for me in one day then I got from Thomas in 3 mths. Then I get a call today 5/26/21 and was told I was Terminated for calling the Ins. Co. For over 3mths I been upset with Dr. Thomas not helping me get to who I needed to see since he couldn't help me himself. What happen to the Dr. Thomas I 1st met???

Reviewing for my mom, who has been a patient of Dr. Greyson for years. We just changed PCP today, due to his and his office staffs lack of concern for my mothers serious health condition. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They are lazy, lie continuously about not receiving items that were faxed AND there is confirmation of said faxes, take much more time than necessary to get an authorization for medical services she needs that he does not or cannot do, and in general, Dr. Thomas was condescending towards my 82 years old mom at her last visit with him. I would not take my dog to this office.

On Wed., April 1st, during the escalating threat of the virus pandemic, Thomas's office manager phoned me, stating the doctor had terminated our relationship because I was a very rude person. I was hurt and shocked by both the announcement & the insult, which came only 2 hours after advising his nurse of the serious side effects I was experiencing while taking a medication the doctor had prescribed a week earlier. I only wanted to make them aware of the problems I was having so it could be documented in my records. Now I'm left without care in a time when it is near impossible to find a new primary care doctor within 30 days, and as well, without refills for monthly prescriptions. I am disabled and also suffer with anxiety & panic attacks, so I'm feeling extremely distressed and vulnerable by his abandonment. At this time, all I can do is remind myself that paper thrones can crumble beneath the weight of apathy.

Had problem on my hand. Dr. said "no it's just a wart buy some compound W and use that". Go back to him he's sitting on a rolling chair my 5lb service dog was on my lap. I told Dr. the hand had not healed, he rolls over to me and grabs my hand so my service dog snapped at him. He says, "I be damn if I'm going to allow any dog to tell me how to treat my patient, this is my office" and was very angry. Dog was just doing his job. If Dr ask to see my hand my dog would not have snapped at him. Dr. told me that "it is nothing life threatening and not anything to worry about". I went to another Dr. had a Squamous cell carcinoma and was very life threatening had to be surgically removed. Dr.is an arrogant little man who thinks he's God because he has a medical license. I went to office to pickup my records, they said they gave me all, but they did not. Some records I had taken into him were never given back to me. I filed a complaint with my ins co. Dr does not care about u or your health.

When I began seeing Dr. Thomas I was impressed with his concern for my health. I travel across town to see him and I felt safe and happy with his staff but between visits he changed. First,he moved his office to an area that made me feel very uncomfortable. Secondly, I was shocked when he walked in because he had Blue hair, wore a glove on one hand and I saw tattoos on his upper arms. I'm sorry but that was entirely too much for me to handle. I cancelled my future appointments explaining that I didn't feel safe at his new office location. I have now chosen a doctor closer to my home. I wish him well.

I was a patient of an associate of Dr Thomas who recently retired. I have never met him. When I called to cancel my appointment and said I didn’t plan to reschedule everything seemed ok. However I received a return call within 15 minutes wanted and explanation as to why I wasn’t coming back. Said insurance required this information as I refused to keep the appointment. I don’t feel I should have to explain why I don’t want to see Dr Thomas. And why say insurance requires it. They also said my refills if needed would only be authorized for 30 days. I’m diabetic and prefer female doctors. I don’t appreciate they way I was handled just because I was leaving. Thanks I now have a new female doctor!

So i was going to this practice and seeing someone else - never saw Dr. Thomas. well the person i was seeing left for other adventures. I went in to have my blood work done on a wednesday with a follow up in two weeks on a wednesday. the time came and i received a call that Dr. Thomas was only seeing patients in this office on Tuesdays and Fridays. Well i explained with was not going to work cause i work those days and it's not easy for me to get one of them days off. I asked the person who called me to have someone call me with my test results. 2 days went by nothing on he fourth day i receive mail from the office. It was my test results.. Really people not everyone knows how to read these reports... This is only one issue i have had with this office. They would call my scripts into other places instead of where i have them called into every month I even gave the phone numbers... I will never go back to this office again or refer the office...

Dr. Thomas was my primary care physician for about 2 years. He is a good doctor, but he tends to treat symptoms rather than root causes. If he prescribes a medication for you, do research to see if there is a natural treatment alternative. Like a lot of good doctors, he's not too good at managing his staff. They play loud music in the waiting room plus lying and being rude to patients.

Its a brand new facility, therefore it is quite nice. I didnt feel like he really was listening, he spent the majority of his visit looking information up on his phone. I understand the use of the phone for information to help make decisions, but he needs to work on personalized medicine. Why go to a physical office, might as well use an online physician. I like to see confidence in my physician, but he acts more arrogant then confident.
