This doctor is extremely competent, as well as kind and considerate. I can and do trust him with my life. I believe he treats his patients with the same consideration he would his own family. He listens to me and goes over my labs with me in a way that I can understand. I never feel rushed, even though I realize I am not his only patient, nor necessarily the most urgent. I have never experienced anything but politeness from his staff. Medication is not "instant" in any doctor's office. They fax the medications over and many pharmacies don't check those faxes until that evening or the next morning. As for referrals, it is up the referred physician's office to contact you when they can. Sometimes that takes a while. If after a while I don't hear anything back, then I contact my doctor's office or call the referred physician's office myself. Try treating doctors and their staff in the same manner you would like to be treated. You may be pleasantly surprised. Read Less

The appointment was for an ongoing problem that was getting worse. I felt Dr Nelson ordered the appropriate tests and prescribed medication to help my condition. Dr Nelson has a soft spoken voice, answer your questions and you don’t feel rushed at an all.

I would highly recommend Dr. Nelson. He was attentive to all of my concerns and gave recommendations that were totally new to me. I had discussed these same concerns with other physicians to no avail.
He was very knowledgeable and caring and time spent in consult was very appropriate. I did not feel rushed.
I would give Dr. Nelson a 5 out of 5
