Always listens to my concerns and explains my lab results. Explains treatment options so I have a full understanding and I know pros and cons.

I have been seeing Dr Obara for almost 8 years and he always takes the time to answer my questions and provides me with whatever I medically need. I feel fortunate to be his patient.

He listens to all my concerns and responds...I may have to wait for my appointment, but I know he has given the previous persons the same care & attention.

Dr Obara in my first visit strongly recommend I see Dr Wang a throat surgeon. I did not know at the time that Dr Wang was regarded by his peers to be one of the best. My surgery was successful and my follow up visits with Dr Obara have been professional and reassuring. To date, I am cancer free and hope it remains that way.

Dr. Obara was very nice and attentive. He seemed to have knowledge to my concerns.

Dr. Obara seems very "textbook" in his style of consultation. He didn't give me much information about my cancer and never told me the type of cancer I had. I looked it up on the Quest website. I asked what side effects of chemotherapy were and he only said I'd lose my hair. I had to look on line to find out most of the information about the cancer and the outcome/side effects. I asked specific questions at times and was not given good answers to the questions. I did attend ASK MY DOCTOR workshops from the Lymphoma Foundation that were very helpful and I asked those doctors questions and found great answers! I found out about this foundation on my own. Cancer was all new to me and I wanted information and felt that I had to find the information elsewhere. Other staff were more helpful that worked in the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Routine checkup, Dr. is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the results of each of the test. I would recommend him to others in a heartbeat.

My appointment was for results of PET/CT scans for the end of March. Dr Obara is very knowledgeable and thoughtful (easy to talk to).

Dr Obara’s no nonsense approach to treatment is appreciated. He is very busy however, and so you have to have your questions lined up or they won’t be answered.

Dr. Obara is a very caring doctor. He takes his time to explain things to you.

Dr. Obara truly cares about his patients’ health. I am so fortunate to be in his care. He is one of the best physicians I have ever had.
