6 years later…still messed up
I’ve never been the same after hernia surgery. 2 years of pain. Finally found a surgeon to relieve that. Still not right after 6 years. Worst experience of my life!

Was impressed by the care
I had terrible pains for a while and learned i needed my gallbladder removed. Most doctors told me to wait for an appointment as long as a month and a half out. i was in pain. I called Dr. Matharoo and he said come in right away. He squeezed me into his day because i was in pain. I was not a patient of his. I called him out of the blue. He was able to schedule surgery within a few days, which was a good thing because my gall bladder was in bad shape. He answered all of my questions, was very personable, very patient and, in the hospital, very thorough.

My experience was not a good one had a hernia sergery got a Seroma after that needed another sergery back to back about a month after saw him told him I still had pain Dr Matharoo said he doesn’t think it’s hernia related sent me off a few months after that had such pain had to get rushed to the hospital from work turns out it was hernia related it’s coming back plus there is inflammation where my sergery was called the office back up to set up an appointment to see someone else they wouldn’t even see me because I owed 1300.00 I asked if I can pay monthly she said no I have to pay in full to see a doctor so I still have pain they will not see me that’s nice definitely DO NOT recommend this group.

Dr Matharoo has continuously been committed to the welfare of my family member over the years after continuous complications from a previous surgeon's work. Most other surgeons contacted refused to review the case. I only wish we had gone to see him originally. His explanations of procedures always makes sense and he's always open to discuss the details.

Judgemental, close minded and condescending. His surgical skills may be acceptable but his people skills need tons of work. Thank you for wasting my time and money.

Dr Matharoo is excellent! The other reviewer must not like people to be direct and to the point. I do not like people trying to be "cute" and waste my time. He is very direct and in charge kind of personality. I feel that he did an excellent job on my gastric sleeve surgery. The staff at MMC were amazingly nice to me as well. I don't imagine that it could have gone any better. I had surgery in Feb of 2017. I highly recommend Dr Matharoo and MMC.

He is a nice guy. Easy to communicate with and easy to schedule. He worked seamlessly with my insurance and I couldn't be happier. I saw him at Monmouth Medical Center and the staff there was easy and friendly.

Insensitive to a fault. He may be a good surgeon, I don't know, but he has very poor people skills. Would recommend staying away from him if you are looking for someone who has kindness and compassion because he is totally lacking in those qualities.
