Exceptional Care provided
Dr Serrano has always provided me with exceptional service . He is a true professional, always takes his time to gather details of my complaints and then patiently provides me with detailed information of my condition And provides me with a clear explanation of his recommended treatment and medication for me .He has on many times allowed me to come into the office without a scheduled appointment .His office staff is also very friendly and have always provided me with professional and excellent service .I have referred Dr Serrano to all my family and friends , as they don’t make Drs like him anymore .He has a true passion in helping mankind .

Smelly and unpleasant!
The smell of dogs is unbearable! The doctor has two huge “support” dogs in the hallway of the very small office. They were barking loudly as they are big dogs. I decided to go to the ladies room before leaving without being seen due to the smell and the long wait time. The ladies room smelled of strong urine! I complained to the lady at the front desk and left immediately. I have never experienced a Doctors office in that condition. It was unsanitary.

I found Dr. Serrano to be Knowledgable, thorough, and personable. His office staff is the most helpful I've encountered I call BS on some reviews. Did she lose "50 lbs from vomiting"? BS! "Refused to renew insulin"? BS! "Staff wasn't friendly" BS! Staff " speaks very little English" BS! The dog issue sounds legit and there is a wait so bring a book. If you have refills call them don't rely on your pharmacy to do all the work. I was in the medical field and can see through these negative reviews and found some that are simply UNTRUE. I used to travel 14 miles to see him and only left to find a nephrologist who had privileges at TGH. Although DR Serrano is established with TGH doctors his privileges are at St Joe's. Now I travel 13 miles to see someone else and miss Dr. Serrano and his staff

I do not recommend Dr Serrano. The office is small and cramped, and smells of dogs. He met me wearing a lab coat covered in dog hair. The office staff speaks very little English. Serrano had no interest in explaining a course of treatment or alternatives. Dialysis is a horrible process, but he was only interested in telling me that "you will used to it." I am looking for another doctor.

While ONE CLEAN dog may be therapeutic...they have THREE dogs that smell horribly and stink up the whole back office.

PATIENTS BEWARE! My parents were patients of Dr. Serrano, first couple of visits nothing but helpful to all needs, after that it all became so difficult to get medications refilled, referrals done office staff are so unorganized. I provided him with a list of all there medication yet every time they went to see him he would ask about what meds they have. My dad takes heart and seizure both everyday meds for life yet refills were vertualy impossible. If you care about your parent stay away!!!!!

Dr. Serrano is an incompetent and neglectful doctor. Him and his staff are extremely careless and do not put patients' health first. My Mother was a patient of his and was recently hospitalized for several weeks due to his neglect. His office refused to give her an urgent appointment or to refill her diabetic insulin medication. Due to this, her kidneys started failing, she lost over 50 lbs. due to vomiting, and is now undergoing dialysis. We will be taking legal action, this is UNACCEPTABLE.
