I can’t thank Dr. Cooper enough for the extraordinary care and compassion I received during one of the most difficult times of my life. From the very first consultation, it was clear that Dr. Cooper is not just an exceptional surgeon, but also an incredibly caring and patient individual. He took the time to explain my condition thoroughly, answering every question with a calm and reassuring presence, making me feel heard and understood. Dr. Cooper’s dedication to his patients is unmatched. He approaches every step of the treatment with professionalism, but more importantly, with empathy. Surgery is never an easy experience, but under his care, I felt safe and confident in the process. His bedside manner is impeccable – always kind, always patient, and always treating me with the utmost respect. What truly stands out about Dr. Cooper is his ability to connect on a personal level. Despite the challenges of my health, he made sure I never felt like just another case. He genuinely cared about my well-being and went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible outcome. His compassion and professionalism are something I will never forget. If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon who is not only highly skilled but also truly cares about you as a person, Dr. Cooper is the one. He is a rare combination of talent, heart, and dedication. Thank you, Dr. Cooper, for making a difference in my life.

Dr Cooper is a very rare case: a high profile Dr that really listens to your concernes. He spent quality time with me, provided clear and direct recommendations in a way that transpired honesty and professionalism. I went to him for a second opinion on knee arthritis with terrible knee pain. During his first examination he correctly diagnosed the bigger problem was my hip’s severe artroses (later confirmed by the XR), which was radiating to my entire leg and knee. He recommended (without any pressure) a hip replacement from which I am currently very well recovering (he uses a less invasive technic) after less than 4 weeks, walking almost normally, free of knee or hip pain, back to almost normal exercise routine. His staff is equally qualified and caring, special note to RN Courtney Loftus.

3 years after my bilateral knee replacements and I’m suffering with the same pain as I did prior to surgery. I returned to see him in November 2019 and complained then about the pain and the fluid in my knees and he told me he could do them again but since they didn’t do well the first time they probably would not do well the second time. I have had a shoulder and hip replaced and they worked out great. I have gone through a year of physical therapy to try to help the pain as well as other doctors. There is nothing anyone can do except replace these knees again. I am now 63 years old. I waited for 14 years to have these knees done as they told me I needed to try to wait. I only wish I had chosen a different doctor.

Very rude and unprofessional stuff, Did not mention that we had to come in 1 hour in advance. We came in and they said that they have to go home soon and will not wait for us even though it took us about 3 hours to get to them and doctor knew that my mom, who is 74, had a problem with her hip and spine.

I'm 14 years old and had end-stage arthritis in my right hip which caused constant pain every single day. There was no more cartilage left, so it was just bone rubbing on bone. My Mom took me to visit Dr. Cooper to schedule a total hip replacement and the surgery was a success. Dr. Cooper was kindhearted, friendly, compassionate, polite, and explained the procedure well enough for us to understand what was going to happen. I have a high level of respect for him. He and his team made no rush and took their time to ensure everything was done properly. It's been two weeks since the operation and my recovery is going great so far. Soon I'll be able to walk normal again, pain free. God bless you Dr. Cooper! ??

Dr. Cooper did a total hip replacement on me yesterday. He used the anterior approach, so no muscles were cut. Not all surgeons are trained to do it that way. Today I’m sore and stiff but have very little pain. My entire experience with him and his team was wonderful! I can’t wait to get back on my road bike! Dr. Cooper is the man to see!

I would recommend Dr. Cooper and his staff to anyone in need of surgery. I had total left hip replacement, at 7:30 am and walked out of the hospital at 2pm. I was able to climb my stairs that night and slept soundly. In 5 weeks I was walking 5 miles a day and never had a problem with pain. Dr. Cooper and his staff were very prompt and helpfull in answering any questions I had and following up after surgery. Simply put, they gave me my life back pain free.

I just recently had a double hip replacement performed by Dr. Cooper. I am 55 and had been a competitive and nationally ranked runner in my younger days. Still very active in fitness and wanted to remain so. After spending countless weeks researching various procedures and speaking with many surgeons, Dr. Cooper was clearly my choice. His reputation for surgical skills and caring demeanor hold true. He was always available for my many questions prior to surgery. The results were amazing. I walked into my two week follow up without a cane and feeling great. 5 weeks after surgery I was back at the gym and feeling like it never happened. Dr. Cooper gave me back a pain free life to enjoy! Coincidentally, when my 85yr.old Dad needed a hip replacement 3 weeks after my bi-lateral, there was never a question as to who I would trust. He also is walking virtually pain free two weeks after his surgery. Dr. Cooper and amazing staff are the best! I could not imagine a better result!

Dr. Cooper is pleasant, kind and really listened to what my problems and questions were during all of our visits. He addressed my specific orthopedic issues with both knowledge and concern. His team is also very thorough and most important to me available for questions immediately during any call I make even 10 weeks after surgery. I never felt abandoned or worried about getting my concerns addressed.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cooper. The takeaway of my review is this: Dr. Cooper is a rarity in the world of doctors and specifically orthopedics -- not only is he an excellent physician/surgeon and the only person I would trust with my health and body, but he is also an incredible human being with a comforting and kind bedside manner. If you want more detail, please keep reading: I was unfortunately in a horrific accident where slipped and fell on black ice, and cracked the head off my femur and broke my left hip. I was alone and scared, and taken to the ER for emergency surgery. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have Dr. Cooper as my surgeon that day. Not only did he go out of his way to talk to me as I was being wheeled into the operating room to assure me he would take good care of me, but he also went above and beyond by calling my mom before and after the surgery to let her know that I was in good hands and that I was going to be okay, and to come meet me at

My surgery was April 3, 2019, full knee replacement. I have been so pleased with the outcome as well as the healing process under Dr. Cooper and his team. The work and healing of the surgical area looks great. There's a level of comfortability that you get from him that allows you to feel easy. I look forward to doing my other knee when the time is right. I really wouldn't want another surgeon but Dr. Cooper. The staff at NYP were also great during this process everyone was excellent. Thank you, Thank you!

I drive 6.5 hours each way to see Dr Cooper. When doctors in my hometown of Buffalo NY couldn’t fix my replaced hip from dislocating and had no idea what to do next, I found Dr Cooper. He looked at my X-rays and within mins saw the problem, scheduled surgery and I have been doing great since! He’s a God send and worth the drive to see him! Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Cooper. Not only did he both quickly diagnose my pelvic discontinuity fracture, he performed revision surgery. Even though he had to put a cup cage in my pelvis and a special total hip replacement I have had the best recovery yet from surgery and was walking without a cane 2 1/2 weeks from surgery.

I had debilitating pain for months following a hip replacement, and my surgeon was entirely dismissive. Terrified, I searched the internet for what could have gone wrong. I found Dr. Cooper's name attached to one promising study, looked him up, and got an appt. Despite the 5-hr. drive. I will be forever grateful to have found him. He found my problem immediately via his XRays. He calmed my fears. He is a genius and will handle a revision if necessary, as well as my other hip in a few mos.

After a failed hamstring surgery I tried making appointments with numerous surgeons who refused to see me post surgery. Dr. Cooper was not only willing to see me, he spent a great deal of time reviewing my MRIs, surgery notes, and hearing my story. Dr. Cooper was able to assess where I needed to go for help and he arranged that for me, spending yet more of his time reaching out to the doctor to explain my complex situation. Dr. Cooper is an exceptionally caring doctor and human.
