Dr. Hafid Mantilla, MD

We have Dr. Mantilla as our pediatrician from the moment my daughter was born. We’ve had no problem with Dr. Hafid as each and every appointment we’ve had with him, he showed nothing but respect and compassion to me and my husband and most importantly to our baby girl. He takes his time to listen to our concerns and he does great with giving us advises on what we could try to help with our issues. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hafid.

If I could leave zero stars I would. We saw Dr. Mantilla after our son's birth because our primary pediatrician was away on vacation. I wish we would have waited to see anyone else. He performed our son's circumcision, and long story short, he didn't perform the procedure correctly. At my son's follow-up he told us everything was great, looked good and all was well, but my husband and I still had doubts...especially since this is our second son so we've been through the process before and know what to expect and look out for. We ended up getting a second opinion and confirmed it with our primary that Dr. Mantilla did indeed mess up the procedure (my husband and I were right to question it) but we'd have to wait to fix his mistake when my son became older as well as continue to keep an eye on everything as his body grows.Not only did Hafid Mantilla mess up the procedure, he then lied that everything was ok during the follow-up--he put my son in jeopardy, TWICE. Sickening.

My recent interactions with this doctor left me deeply unsatisfied and distressed. We were forced to see him as our Dr. was unavailable during a few separate issues when my child was undergoing a long stretch of severe illness. Despite prevailing health standards, and my child's higher susceptibility to infection, the doctor was not wearing a mask when he saw us. When I requested him to do so, he attempted to argue that the presence of sickness in the vicinity somehow negated the need for protective measures. His initial refusal was neither intelligent nor considerate, both traits one would hope to find in a healthcare provider. Communicating with him felt akin to dialoguing with a disinterested machine, rather than a compassionate human. His responses were a monotonous litany of 'yeah', 'uh huh', and 'right', devoid of any genuine concern or understanding. The doctor's approach was severely lacking in emotional comprehension. He left us more distressed than when we arrived.

Dr. Mantilla refused to acknowledge my granddaughter’s medical condition (which was well documented in her file) and refused to prescribe her antibiotics when it was clear (and mentioned by another staff member) she had a sinus infection. This resulted in us having to take her to Urgent Care where they diagnosed her with a severe sinus infection and a double ear infection. Due to Mantilla’s refusal to properly treat my granddaughter, she suffered both physically and mentally. Please do not take your child to Dr Mantilla. Especially if your child has a rare medical condition as he will dismiss it.
