Great experience working with Dr. Hooper
Dr Hooper was very personable and explained things very well before and after a surgery he did for my 22 year old son, who was very scared of what to expect. We are from out of state, my son is a college student in the area and we had no idea of what hospital to choose. I feel we got very lucky and greatful to have been put in the hands of Dr Hooper and the entire staff at Advent Hospital.

Not personable, treats you like a number, office is dirty, office staff never answers phones when you call to make an appointment, never calls you back. When you finally get an appointment after waiting forever, they call the day of the appointment and cancel!

I have always felt that Dr. Hooper has my best interests at heart. He is open and caring and keeps up with the latest procedures. Because of him, my medical problem that was effecting my daily life was cleared up because of a referral. He takes the time to listen and his bedside manner is excellent.

I cannot imagine going to any other dr. He has been the most compassionate and caring dr I have ever had. He listens to me and then I listen to him. We make decisions together not just his way. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Seemed like a nice enough guy and I don’t know anything about his ability but after two visits I will not return and will look for another urologist. He was always in a hurry with quick short answers, his office and exam rooms are dirty and there is nothing to clean up with when he leaves a person a mess with goop, etc. I have left messages on an office answering machine and with a live person twice because I missed his call. He never bothered to call again or return my calls.

Has always been there he took the extra time and found my bladder cancer if it was not him I,m probably would not be hear he is a careing doctor and very good at what he does I would recommend him to all my family members he is a excellent doctor who I move from where he was practicing from waynesville to Asheville it takes a hour drive to see him but it is worth it I trust him with my life

Went to him twice and did not care for him at all. He didn't seem to be willing to try to figure out the cause of my problem. He just jumped to the most obvious conclusion and gave me a prescription without explaining what it was, the side effects, etc. When I read about the potential side effects, I decided not to take it. The problem eventually cleared up on its own, so prescription wasn't necessary anyway. He also made a slightly insulting remark about me as I left the last time I was there.
