I have poor circulation in my fingers and tips and went to see him. He never offered to use the doppler on my fingers on the first or second visit and never even grabbed my finger to even take a good look at it or feel where the white starts on the finger. He just read off the ER mri report to me and said I need an engiogram without even doing any of his own research of my finger. I was told by his nurse they do not have a finger doppler. On my second visit with him he said he had one but never offered to use it on my finger. When I told him I was going to get a second opinion on my bkue and cold finger from my previous vascular surgeon in prescotr, he told me he wanted nothing to do with me or my situation if I go see him. So, if you want a second opinion, he doesn't like that and will tell you he wants nothing more to do with you if you do go. Also, he was very condensing to me. When I didn't retain all the info he said, and he had to repeat it, he said "I just told you this a few minutes ago, right?" Wow, you should never speak to your patients like that. I do not recommend this doctor. In my opinion, he does not do his own research or work and and is very rude.

I first saw Dr. Amer when admitted to Chandler Hospital as an emergency patient. Later, I saw him in his office for a follow-up visit. Dr. Amer is one of the nicest doctors I have seen (and I have seen a lot of them!) He was patient with all of my questions, and my husband's questions. He did not rush me, and TALKED TO ME (rather than typing on a computer the entire time). I liked that he suggested a conservative approach to my illness. My highest recommendation for Dr. Amer.

Dr. Amer talks a good fight, but he is not thorough in explaining all that might go wrong with your surgery. Surprises can be in store. He scores poor on follow-up and answering questions. Not recommended by me.

Dr. Amer is fabulous. He and his staff treated my mother like family. We went to Dr. Amer for a second opinion and are very glad we did. We were very nervous regarding her carotid surgery and he made time to explain all the details thoroughly. She is doing well with no further mini-strokes!

Dr Amer is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain my condition and the subsequent surgery. Would not go any where else. Very busy office, sometimes there is a wait but worth it. I have a lot of trust in Dr Amer and his staff.

Dr. Amer saved my husband's leg. We can't thank him enough. He has a phenomenal bedside manner and although very busy made time to explain the treatment plan and options thoroughly. We were told by another surgeon that my husband's leg needed amputation and were recommended to see Dr. Amer. He was able to restore blood flow and we are very grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Amer, he is a wonderful doctor and a blessing to us.

Dr. Amer is a fantastic doctor. He treated my mother's aortic aneurysm after she was told by 2 other surgeons that it was inoperable. He explained everything in detail and made us feel very comfortable with his plan. He and his staff are wonderful and I highly recommend him.
