Dr. Hanane Chichane, MD

Would not give us a referral to another psychiatrist and only does phone calls and refills meds. Not for me !!

When are u going to see your patients in your office. You are an excellent physician and I feel happy to have u. The Covid crisis is over how can u really evaluate a patient over the phone.

My first visit with Dr. Chichane was during the Covid 19 pandemic and so we did a video chat and let me tell you. She was great. Most psychiatrists rush through questions or ask questions that put you on the defense. She was thorough and asked all the right questions. She's treated me for major depression and it's going well so far. And most of all she took her time getting all the details.

I have been going to Dr. Chichane since 2011. She has been so supportive to me and listens to my concerns and manages my needs. When speaking with her she is a good listener and takes my whole life in making decisions to improve my life.

Dr. Chichane took the time to get to know our son and personalize care for him. She is very attentive and does not medicate unnecessarily. She is very kind too!! Our son loved going to her, which was the first for a psychiatrist. We move around often due to my husband's work and will be sad when we have to leave her practice. Her front staff, Tammy and Shelby, are amazing also! Very responsive to our requests. Definitely recommend Dr. Chichane and her office!!

Our family have been patients of Dr. Chichane for many years. We have had many psychiatrists before finding her. Starting when our children were about 20 and about 23, now 40 and 43. During those years only two other psychiatrists were worthy to use the title. We have encountered some extremely poor psychiatrists over the years, as well. Dr. Chichane really cares about each patient. She also stays very current. She is truly a wonderful, gifted physician. Can't recommend her enough.

We have been using Dr. Chichane for a number of years.She has taken very good care of our foster kids and adopted kids. She does not just throw medicine at them. Most we have used does. Dr. Chichane is one of the best. And her staff is number one. All ways calls for appointment reminders. Very nice and helpful.

Dr. Chichane is a great doctor who is compassionate and caring for me and my family.

Really am grateful to have found Dr. Chichane! She is compassionate and truly cares about my child. She asks great questions that lets me know she is looking for deeper understanding of my child. She also discusses options with me and takes an appropriately cautious approaching to changing medication. For something this important, I am glad to have finally found the right person to help my child! Highly recommended!

Absolutely would not recommend. Please look elsewhere if you are truly trying to find care for a loved one. Our son, who is 15 years old, did not get any level of professional service and she absolutely did not conduct herself professionally. The office provided the wrong date of the appointment on followup, but said they would see us since we were there and not available on other day offered. We waited over an hour, then told us we would not be seen. My son can not get his meds refilled now.

Refused to treat my son because there was a break in the relationship. He had seen her once before being admitted to PHP/IOP. Her office directed we return when done with program. We did. She refused to treat him leaving him without a doctor or meds. She stated she had been doing this a long time and we should have returned sooner. I explained we had NOT and were not aware of "proper" procedures.

Several years back we took our son, to Dr Chichane. She didn't do any medical testing to determine if there was a physiological problem. Based on our testimony, she gave him some very aggressive medications. When the side effects of the meds were a problem she'd give him more pills. His issues were never fixed, just over-medicated. When we told Dr Chicane we were going to another Dr she insisted on us following up with her - even though we were severing our relationship.

She has a serious "throw meds at the problem and see what sticks" attitude. At one point I was on 8 different medications, wildly fluctuating the dosages. It made my underlying issues far worse. On top of that, an acquaintance of mine was also her patient, and when she learned this, she used our sessions to demand information on the other patient. No confidentiality. Awful. I will never go to her again. I was a patient for about half a year.

I can tell she cares about her patients. She really wants to make a difference. Sweet person. I will continue to see her.
