Dr. Hany Abdel, DO

I was referred to urgent care feeling weak throughout the week teaching in Philly. Dr. Abdul diagnosed walking pneumonia and compromised respiratory infection via mold (from the school). As an elite competitive cyclist, he recognized that environment was detrimental to my lungs as it led to asthma. I left teaching there and regained control of my condition under his oversight. I can’t give enough thanks for his specialist partner referral for the asthma. I literally thought I was close to dying prior to his professional care.I’m not clear what the deal is with the poor reviews I read here because personally it is way out of character to the experiences of my wife and mother whom I referred to him as their primary physician, they stated he was the best internal medicine physician experience for them equally.In closing, Mr. Abdul, I extend my most gracious thanks for taking care of my family and I. We still bring up convos about you, your good people. Bless Up.

I was feeling very sick with sore throat yesterday, 10/24/16. I called Mercy Primary Care in Plymouth Meeting around 2:00 pm requesting for a Z-Pak prescription to be sent to CVS Pharmacy. Dr. Hany Abdel wasn't in. The receptionist said he would put in the request on the computer and the doctor would see it shortly and would prescribe the medicine. I would receive a phone call from the office. I waited all evening, no one called me. I'm fed up with this lazy, under qualified doctor. He's a joke

He was extremely late. He had not looked at my chart before seeing me. He kept having to leave the room to review things I was telling him that he should have reviewed before seeing me. He was rude. He mentioned my sinuses were really inflamed but he gave no treatment plan. Bad visit. My healthcare is important to me...it was not to him.

I ended up in urgent care over the weekend and needed to see my PCP for a referral to a specialist. The next available appointment was over a month away. I looked up another PCP in my network who happen to be Dr. Abdel and was able to get a late appointment the same day! He gave me the referrals I needed and some suggestions to help my situation until I was able to see the specialists. He was straight and to the point, I loved that. Dr. Abdel is now my PCP.
