Unacceptable Wait Times
Dr. Thakkar, although polite, made my 80 year old grandparent with cancer wait 2.5 hours prior to seeing her. This is absolutely unacceptable as a wait time for a PCP especially for an elderly and immunocompromised patient. When talking to my grandmother, he has been doing this for years. I was very disappointed with the blatant disregard and essentially disrespect for my grandmother's wellbeing.

Twenty plus years patient
I’ve been a patient for over 20yrs. They saved my life on 3/27/23. He takes his time with each patient. Plus many of his patients are elderly and or very ill. He’s in no rush and answers your questions and makes sure he covers your health from head to toe. So please be prepared to wait. I have trouble getting them on the phone but seldom have a problem with getting an appointment and they have an answering service that does well. I recommend him all the time to strangers, friends and family. My mom (recently moved to Houston) has never had this type of comprehensive care in her 81yrs. (She’s still getting used to the wait) His staff is very helpful and they do a great job especially in such a very busy office. They are friendly and remember a lot of patients by name especially Sandy who’s worked there every since I’ve been going there. If you want a doctor for comprehensive excellent care and not opposed to waiting and possibly your life being saved see Dr Thakkar.

Patient Treatment
Dr. Thakkar is a good doctor, however, this review is about two key members of his staff. Star is the name of the secretary at the front desk handling patients and Sandy is the office manager. These two workers are beyond rude and absolutely have no humanity whatsoever. This is not a rant. Please experience it yourself and find out. Employing such harsh, incompetent, rude, and unprofessional people is simply unacceptable and it reflects on the overall doctor's ability to care for patients. Dr. Thakkar, you have great bedside manners and we appreciate you but having two incompetent employees in key positions to handle patients is unacceptable. Please consider replacing these two inhumane and incompetent people at your earliest chance possible. They are covering up their incompetency by not even letting us get an appointment with you when they have failed to do their job properly. They are saying you are too busy to care for us patients. Treating patients with respect is very important.

I waited for two and a half hours and still never saw the doctor. I told the staff the same and then told them to cancel my appointment and left the office. I will be moving onto another doctor. I do not recommend going to this doctor.

My guarding angel. I am 74 years old and have Congestive Heart Failure, Liver disease, Chronic Anemia, Lupus and Diabetes. Dr. Thakkar has saved my live on multiple occasions. When other doctors had given up, Dr. Thakkar compassionately looked for alternate medications and worked with specialists to ensure my well being. Dr. Thakkar has an excellent clinical eye. He takes his time to understand my fragile healthy equilibrium through a holistic approach. I appreciate his staff, they are practical and aim to resolve issues on the spot. They always try to accommodate me on short notice. If it wasn't for Dr. Thakkar, I would not be writing these lines. May God bless and protect you and your family.

Do not go to this doctor! These positive reviews must be written by him or his employees. He will make you wait for hours even when he is not busy. He is a scam doctor. The ladies in the office are nice.

please do more research before setting up an appointment with this office. They will only tell you what you want to hear and gain your business. In the end you will end up paying more than just a regular office visit.
