Dr. Anwar and his team were awesome with my brother beginning, during and after his gastric bypass. He not only made our dreams come true, but he gave my lil brother a second chance at life.

I am a long-term bypass patient (25+yrs) it was a total life changer for me. Got married and had a child. Able to lead a good quality of life. Unfortunately, I have a very bad back which now at 50 has slowed me down. I had originally lost 150 lbs and able to maintain it for 24+ yrs. Due to a back operation and acid reflux and a hernia, I was told to go back to the original hospital that did the surgery. Well, all my original staff have long been retired. Thank goodness Dr.Anwar walked into my life. Outstanding listener and his compassionate words gave me hope. Whatever path is laid out I feel very confident that Dr.Anwar is the Dr. To my good health again. Left the appointment with direction, confidence, and hope. He has the heart and skills for this work. My wife and I met with Dr. Anwar earlier this year. We both had lap bands that needed to be removed and we were interested in revising our surgeries to the gastric bypass. Dr. Anwar and his team (Terry, his scheduler has been especially helpful throughout this whole process) were fabulous from day one. Dr. Anwar spent quite a bit of time with us to explain our options. I had some pretty extensive complications with the lap band, and Dr. Anwar wrote an impressive report to our insurance company to ensure my revision was covered. So, my surgery was scheduled shortly after we received the surgery approval and the office has been great about keeping me informed about what was needed prior to surgery. Unfortunately our insurance company was not so generous with my wife. For that reason, we scheduled her surgery at a clinic in Europe for later this year due. Dr. Anwar and his team are highly recommended.

Excellent surgeon. Very caring, takes the time to answer all your questions. Office staff are great and calls returned promptly. Would recommend Dr. Anwar to anyone considering bariatric surgery.

Dr. Anwar is very knowledgeable and a wonderful surgeon. I had gastric bypass surgery. I couldn’t believe how quickly I recovered. I could have gone back to work after 2 weeks! His staff is friendly, caring and understanding. Anwar has great bedside manner and encouraging

Dr. Anwar is the single worst physician I have ever had. His medical knowledge and capabilities are sub-par at best. All of my experiences with him were awful. Following a sleeve gastrectomy, Anwar discharged me after on night. I went home but was hospitalized the next day with horrible pneumonia. Anwar's incompetence almost got me killed and was beyond unpleasant. Don't trust this incompetent egomaniac. My surgery has only been marginally successful. I think he did something wrong.

Hands down a very smart and talented surgeon. He tells you the truth and he does expect you to get through some hoops. It took me exactly 5 months to get into the surgery room! COnsult with him, if you dont like him go elsewhere but you will! He cares.

I love Dr. Anwar and his staff. Everyone is friendly, kind, patient, and understanding and they really listen. I had a lap band put in 8 years ago, a horrible experience. Dr. Anwar removed it and performed a gastric bypass. It was like night and day. I don't feel like a number or that this is just a money making scheme. I feel the staff cares about me. the follow up is excellent--I go in every three months--and they all remember me and my issues. I highly recommend Dr. Anwar and his team.
