Dr. Senekjian recommended "killing" husband's kidneys & starting dialysis after nearly a year of mismanaging nephrotic syndrome from membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN). Husband endured numerous hospitalizations for opportunistic infections, pulmonary embolism, severe anasarca/edema & plummeting GFR from 98 to 22. Dr. Senekjian failed to properly manage risk factors for blood clots & infection. Took husband to nephrologists at Mayo Clinic. When experts looked at medical history, they said "killing" kidney for MGN was "1950's treatment" & prescribing Prednisone was "completely useless as a monotherapy". My husband endured horrible side effects for nothing! Thanks to Mayo Clinic, husband hasn't been hospitalized for two years. He has been in remission for over a year & feels great. His GFR is now >60 & continuing to improve. Only consolation is Dr. Senekjian's recommendation pushed us to Mayo Clinic for a second opinion - a decision that saved my husband's life & kidney function!

I have been seeing him since 2001-2002 when first learned about my kidney condtion. He is by far one of the best Dr's I have ever seen I would recommend him without a blink of a eye. He tells you how things are whether good or bad,he is also understanding about your own situation and I never wait along time to see him after my arrival for my appointment.
