He is highly talented !
He has treated my migraines for many years ! Straight forward, highly knowledgeable and honest ! Has been a great doctor for me ! Don’t believe any of the negative comments. They must want something other than honest, knowledgeable and experienced care!

Knowledgable expert !
It is mind blowing to read the negative reviews of Dr.Tamm. I have know him for over 30 years professionally as a nurse, as well as both my husband and mother in law see him as patients. He has gone above and beyond what many doctors do. He has walked us through emotional phases of dementia with my mother in law and been both highly knowledgeable and compassionate. Maybe the negative people didn’t like the truth, he might say it like it is but I’d find it real hard not to believe he was right !

Dismissive and Rude
I’ve seen him twice. Both times, he was incredibly rushed, rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. Asked me multiple times “why are you here?” Very minimal neuro assessments done. He constantly interrupts you and only wants to discuss one thing per visit despite how complex certain neuro things can be. It is very clear from his language and body language that he does not care.

Worst experience ever! Not only did he write biased information in my medical record after only 1 visit but he didn’t even have all my records to review. I went and immediately had labs done at my PCP office because he did none to find out that I actually did have an issue and have been started on IV infusions. I am reporting him to the facility for neglect of care. Wouldn’t take my dog to this doctor.

Excellent neurologist
I have been shocked to see the negative reviews posted here about Dr Tamm. He has been our family neurologist for 30 years and his knowledge blows all others in his field away. He was always attentive and focused. He may appear brusque to some but believe me he knows his stuff and my family wouldn't see anyone else!

If there was a way to do negative stars I would. Cold and rude, dismissive, disrespectful. Told me nothing was wrong and asked me why I was even there - when my primary care doctor had referred me to a neurologist because of a car accident with head and spine injuries. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare provider in my life.

It was my first visit to see this doctor and I drove all the way from Gold Canyon to Scottsdale to see him. My husband was very clear I needed to see someone for my seizures. I had to wait almost 3 months to see Dr Tamm. The medical assistant was very nice and we were casually chatting as she took my vitals. The very first words out of Dr Tamm's mouth when he rudely walked through the door as the assistant was still doing her job were. "What is going on in here?" This is how I met this man. I told the doctor I was a chatterer and that it was MY fault and he said "there will be no more of that as I am already WAY behind schedule!" It was 8am and my appointment was at 8am. He then rudely told me he did NOT treat epilepsy, headaches, acoustic neuromas or any other condition I had. Every time I had a question, he would immediately shut me down and told me, in essence, to shut up by telling me "we're not going to talk about that now!" I wouldn't go back to this man if HE paid ME

Dr. Tamm sat behind his desk and asked me a list of questions in a dull, unconcerned voice, while typing away. Period. I would much rather have had a robot for a Dr, at least they can be programmed to show a bit of interest/concern.

Could not care less.... Spends 5 mins with patient and won't address anything but ONE ISSUE... he gave me a "veterans memory loss " test and called it golden.. Nope no problems.. Went to another office and had an in depth testing with a face to face neuro who determines I have a serious deficit. All he did was give me botox shots refused to address my muscle spasms that are quite severe due to 6 spine reconstructions. Go elsewhere

I got Dr. Tamm's name from the Dystonia Foundation web site....he gave me a cursory physical exam (seeming to be for numbness), spent most of the visit trying to determine exactly "who" thought I might have dystonia, and then declared I clearly didn't, because my tongue would be darting in and out of my mouth if I did. Which is the common presentation of *dyskinesia*, NOT *dystonia*.

Saw him in July 2015 for essential tremors. He did a cursory physical exam and nothing else. He acted like none of my other doctors knew what they were doing and suggested it was diabetic neuropathy (which my endo said it wasn't) or a medication side effect (which my psychiatrist and GP both said was very unlikely). Prescribed me something contraindicated by almost every other medication I take as well as my life-long condition (type I diabetes). VERY dismissive. Definitely would not recommend.

It took my mother to see Dr. Tamm today and I like the fact that his face wasn't buried in some laptop trying to complete his H&P's on an EMR system or googling my mother's symptoms online! Yes he seems a bit impatient, but the guy knows what he's talking about. Most providers these days whether they are doctors, PA's, or NP's are clueless and leave you wondering what's wrong with you. Dr. Tamm is knowledgeable in his field, gets to the point, and doesn't waste your time!

He was incredibly rude and dismissive. Ran two tests which came back negative and told me I'm SOL and to go see someone else. Told me he wanted to try a certain medication, but when I tried to follow up on that he dismissed me as a patient.
