Dr. Harveshp Mogal, MD

I was treated like I was a waste of his time. He was 2 hours behind schedule and only spent around 7 minutes with me. He continuously interrupted me whenever I spoke and talked down to me like I am a child. Oncology patients should be treated with empathy and that was completely lacking with Dr. Mogal. I have forgiven him and pray that he develop a new love and respect for his patients, both now and future.

There are endless positive things I can say about Dr Mogal and his team. Learning I had stage 4 appendix cancer was surreal; the care I received from that day forward was exceptional. Dr Mogal performed a 14 hour surgery on me and saved my life. I had complications post-surgery (which resulted in 2 additional hospital admissions) and he always made sure to check on me, even late one night in the ED after he completed another all-day surgery. He is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and confident. Everything you want in a surgeon when you are dealing with a rare, scary diagnosis.He personally called me after my latest scans to go over them with me (and put my mind at ease because he is aware of my anxiety surrounding all this) He goes above and beyond, every time.I truly love this man. There will never be words to describe how grateful I am for what he did for me and my family.

If I could give him and his team more stars I would. I was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer and he has one of the few doctors in the state that performs the treatment that I needed. He spent 12 hours in surgery and saved my life. He has a great bedside manner and was terrific with my children who were very concerned for obvious reasons. A few weeks after my surgery I ended up in the emergency room with what they thought was an infection and again he performed emergency surgery
