For my entire adult life I had always a nagging embarrassment and general awareness about my excessive underarm perspiration. It affected and pervaded all aspects of my life - be it professionally, socially snd even with my husband and family. Years were spent acquiring bulky uncomfortable and unflattering tops (what I now classify as frocks or smocks you wouldn’t wish your enemy be seen in!). Gone was style, comfort and fit and the only variable that mattered was, “will my Victoria Falls underarms be visible in my meeting or on the soccer fields cheering my twins or at date night with my husband?” Dr. Summe has, within one session, changed my life in more ways than I can describe or was even aware of! And it was virtually painless - in fact I asked when she was starting and had already finished none underarm. Dr. Summe is warm, empathetic and really an artist! I can’t stop raving to everyone I know!

My experiences with Dr. Summe have always been fantastic. She takes the time to diagnose and remedy whatever issues or concerns I come in with. I've been to a lot of derms over the years and she is truly the best. I am looking forward to being a longterm patient!

While Dr. Summer herself was very nice and quite thorough, her call center and anyone else you'd deal with on the phones is completely lame. Not only did I have trouble getting test results (possibly cancerous), but I had to fight with them for three hours to get the information. When I asked for my records to be sent to my primary, I was told they would be, and then days later, got a call from someone from the office responding to a message I'd left two weeks before. And she said there was no notation about the records being sent. Run, do not walk, from this practice! The front line is beyond incompetent!!!

I called Dr Summe at Northwell health to let her know I was running 20 minutes late for my appointment. They advised me it was no problem. I arrived 25 minutes late and the front desk staff reprimanded me for being “30” minutes late. When I said I had called they said they knew nothing about it. They said the scheduling department did not advise them I would be late. I would have rescheduled if the scheduling dept had advised me that dr Summe only sees late patients when she can fit them in. I was told I might have to wait an hour (because I was late). I left and found a new doctor.

Dr. Summe is amazing, no wait time at all! Front desk and MA are very pleasant. Her bedside manner is very professional, and very satisfied overall with the visit. She pays closely attention to the issue you concern about and listens. She also gives you more than one resolution of what you need. I will recommend her to anybody no doubt.

Dr. Summe is one of the best dermatologist I ever been to. I suffered with dark spots on my skin and she has been the only dermatologist to help me out of the other doctors I've been to. She is very patient and kind and listens to the concerns of her patient. I will recommend everyone to Dr. Summe. The office has a very professional and kind staff. I’ve been to numerous dermatologist in NYC and by far the best is Dr. Summe. Not only does she care about her patients but she went above and beyond to calm my nerves. I first saw here after hearing from my former dermatologist news that I was not happy with (nor did I understand). One meeting with Dr. Summe and not only did she explain to me what the previous doctor told me, but that wasn’t even the proper diagnosis. Once properly diagnosed, a weight was lifted. I can’t imagine seeing anyone else for all my dermatologist needs ever again.

Dr. Summe treated me for perioral dermatitis, which had been plaguing me for more than six months. She prescribed an antibiotic that cleared my rash up significantly within days. She has an excellent bedside manner and took the time to really listen to me during my appointment.

I highly discourage people to visit Dr Summe. Appointments are rushed as they will spend about 5 mins on you. Dr Summe is insensitive to medical history & opinions of other dermatologists. Her bedside manner is condescending and aggressive pushing generic products that previously have not worked. She would rather give you a worksheet than talk to you about things. She left the room in a hurry and did not give me further instruction so I had no idea whether I was done or not.

She’s amazing!!! She helped me with a very delicate issue and appreciated her kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend her for all procedures. Also her MA Steven was amazing and helped me when I was feeling lightheaded. He stayed with me through the whole visit and was very hospitable.

Dr. Summe's botox administration was perfect, she has a gentle touch (helpful if you're a total wimp like me!) and the results were excellent, I looked like a natural version of myself, but refreshed and unworried with a smooth forehead.

Dr. Summe treated me with the perfect balance of expert professionalism and personal attention and care. She took the time to hear my concerns and then delivered a thorough skin examination and gave me her professional recommendations without just delivering a cookie cutter approach. She’s kind, caring and thorough - everything I look for in a doctor.

I had a visit with Dr. Summe regarding my androgenetic alopecia. I paid $50 copay to learn that there is no other options than rogaine, PRP (super expensive), and viviscal. She did not offer any other treatment or at least vitamins. The whole meeting lasted maybe 3 min. Her assistant didn't even know what alopecia is. Waist of money. Not coming back.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Summe. Recently, I had a rash on my face that several doctors, including another dermatologist, could not properly diagnose. It was from a bbc. The rash then spread to other areas of my body. Dr. Summe came to the rescue and spend over an hour w/me. She got to the bottom of it and treated. I was very nervous about this rash! Thank you Dr. Summe. BTW, I went back for Botox and she did an amaze job! Def going back!
