Dr. Helio Zapata, MD

Three years ago Dr Zapata delivered my First Daughter and I had no complaints! He always explains the nature of our appointment and asks if I have any questions. He is patient and understanding with me. The only issue I have is scheduling and communication with staff from front desk to triage. Those are things Dr Zapaya is not responsible for but they do pose a challenge for my comfort level of keeping appointments. Today we are delivering our 2ND Daughter and are planning one more pregnancy emote we retire:) THANK YOU DR ZAPATA FOR OUR HEALTHY BABY AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT TWO SUCCESSFUL DELIVERIES:)

He was treated for more than 1 year and when I told him that I had 7 weeks of bleeding he told me that it was normal due to the high prolactin hormone and a fibroid in the uterus, which was what caused everything, and yet he had the ultrasounds that said that my endometrium was thick and he didn't do any more tests or treatment, but that wasn't the case. My problem was endometriosis level 3, which thank God I went to another gynecologist for a second opinion and he operated on me to help with my problem

Where you definitely shouldn't go is Lone Star Circle of Care OB/GYN at Round Rock. And I will not recommend visiting Dr. Helio Zapata. It took the doctor more than three weeks to send a request for an ultrasound to a clinic that provides this service and is covered by my insurance (before that, he sent requests to third-party clinics that are not part of my insurance company's network). A week after undergoing an ultrasound at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center I came to the Lone Star Circle of Care OB/GYN at Round Rock to get feedback from Dr. Helio Zapata about the results of the procedure. The nurse said they haven't received information from St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. And she wrote me a note with a fax number so that I could ask the employees of St. David's Round Rock Medical Center send ultrasound results. I personally gave this note to the administrator of the mammography and ultrasound department and found out that they had the wrong phone number for Dr. Zapata. A week later, I called Lone Star Circle of Care OB/GYN at Round Rock again to see if the doctor had received the fax. I received an answer that feedback from the doctor is possible within two weeks. At this point, more than a month has passed since the procedure. Dr. Zapata still has not given any response regarding the results of my ultrasound. I have never had such a negative experience anywhere else.

Dr.Zapata was great from beginning to end of my first ever ob appointment. He was patient and understanding with me, made me feel comfortable. He answered all my questions honestly and throughly. I appreciate him very much and would love to continue having him as my ob but I don’t recommend the Round Rock location he’s at, as the other ob at this location is quite the opposite of kind and I do not want to risk the chance of having the other ob again.
