Mean and Unhelpful
This man doesn't seem to particularly like being a doctor, but he does love to belittle patients. Very rude and unkind.

Long Live Dr. Henry Bloom, MD!
When I first visited Dr. Bloom in the late 80s, he asked why I chose him as a physician. I replied, "Because your office is on the bus line"--which was true--but I've never regretted the decision. Over the years, Dr. Bloom has guided our family through some tough health issues. While I don't always take his good advice, he's been non-judgmental and it's a comfort to know that he's there in the event of a crisis. Plus I've always enjoyed his dry sense of humor.

Dr Bloom has taken good care of me and some family members for many years, but he has his own ways and they can be peculiar. He is very well read and knowledgeable of various studies and keeps up on new treatments and studies. He avoids fads and is very slow to prescribe certain drugs - a good thing to my mind. He is conservative in treatments. He used to schedule me to return too often, which I now ignore unless necessary. This was irritating.

Often too busy inputing into computer and doesn't listen. Curt and dismissive,. Doesn't remember certain tests completed or results from past testing. No longer trust his medical judgment and have moved to another doctor.

Dr. Bloom scheduled 5 appointments with me within 4 months. This is not normal or necessary for a young and healthy person. I spent hundreds of dollars on unnecessary visits and tests scheduled by this Doctor. He does not care if your insurance doesn't cover the test, he'll run it. His secretary/LPN has an awful demeanor and almost never answers the phone. In fact, 9/10 times you try to call the office number, it is a busy tone or a dial-up internet tone. I would NEVER recommend going to him.
