Dr. Smitherman has been my doctor for over five years. I always get excellent service from him and his staff (Dr. Elrod, Sharonda and Betty). I appreciate the warmth and concern that I get during my appointments. My 21 year-old is now a patient of Dr. Smitherman. I trust that she will feel the same.

Dr. Smitherman, is a very good doctor and very thorough with his craft. But it is very difficult to get an appointment at this time to make appointment is very difficult. You can leave a voicemail on the automated system and you get no return calls. The staff will promise you a return call regarding your issue and as the day go on there is no return call.. I've been requesting an appointment for 2 weeks now. I'm having some health challenges now and I'm concerned about the level of service.

Dr. Smitherman is great but his office staff is the worst! Typically wait 2 hours after appointment to be seem. His office canceled my first 2 visits. My well office visit was miscoded and insurance wouldn't pay. I left 5 messages over 3 month with his PA and office manager without any response. I wanted to let Dr. Smitherman know but he never responded to the voice mail I left for him. His office staff is so bad and unresponsive I had to change my doctor
