While in the emergency room with Dr. Dinshaw's patient, I contacted his receptionist to convey a message that his patient was in emergency for congestive heart failure. His receptionist said that she would not convey that information or even tell the cardiologist that the patient would be missing his appointment two days later, because I was calling from a particular phone number that she was reading in her notes instructions to deny. I have medical power of attorney and and the family member by his side every day.
