Dr. Hong-Kai Du, MD

It has been a few years but there was no compassion or understanding. He had a great amount of difficulty with the procedure and the pain I experienced was intense. The Pain Center lost their license for giving Iv sedation due to a physician on staff misappropriating opiates. Don’t know if they ever got it back. Either way, RUN from Belleville Memorial.

I had appointments set up and then the office canceled them. This happen 2 out of the 3 appointments I had with him. I had the appointment early in the week, he scheduled me to come back that Friday to have the procedure done. His office people didn't get the insurance part taken care of, so my wife called my insurance. My insurance told us what the doctor's office needed to in order for the treatment to be done on that Friday. My wife called the Du's office and told the lady that answered the phone what the insurance company told her that needed to be done. The lady that answered the phone told my wife that they would reach out to the insurance company they did not. When we ask why the reply was that's not how they work they have a company that reaches out to the insurance companies to take care of that kind out stuff. Needless to say, I ended up changing doctors. You would think that's where the story would end, but oh no. Trying to pay the co-pay is a whole other story.

Besides having no office manner, he told the patient that she should be thankful for not having diabetes or heart disease and just live with her bursitis. He spends most of his time talking to recorder and does not provide a range of alternative treatments. He ignored the husband and any questions he had, not even greeting or introducing himself. He was very insistent that the only place for physical therapy was in the sane building.

Dr Du is very intelligent and works wonders on pain!

Dr. Du was confident he could complete my procedure even though it was an extremely difficult procedure. He assured me he would do whatever it took to relieve my pain. He was extremely patient, explained everything thoroughly and was successful in fixing the compression fractures in my back. I am forever grateful to Dr. Du because most doctors would not have even considered doing a procedure on an 86 year old. I was in pain for over a month so I can honestly say he gave me my life back.

I found Dr Du to be very compassionate. He performed the spinal procedure with extreme care.

I have been seeing Dr. Du for over a year. He does not work miracles - He does help my pain in the sciatic, is extremely caring of his patients and staff. His staff from the reception, Suzie, and the nurses and practitioners are extremely concerning and treat me not as a patient but more like a relative, RECOMMEND

Had an excellent experience with Dr. DU. Had 3 NERVE blocks and so far pain free. All the medical staff were very nice and told me step by step what to expect during procedure. Would recommend Dr. Du.

Explained nothing. Doesn't listen to what you are saying about pain just jumps to his preconceived diagnosis.
