Dr. Hooman Harooni, MD

The appointment started off well, but when he looked at my eyes he rattled off 10 medical terms, and didn't explain them. But said I have blepharitis and dry eye. He said that he sees '10 of me a day' and that he got so tired of repeating himself that he made this printout. He then dismissed my concerns about something else causing my dry eyes. And then a red light started flashing on the wall, a nurse came in, and he started talking a lot faster and rushed me out. His bedside manner was pretty dismissive and condescending. I get that doctors are people too. Everyone has off days, some people don't get some types of humor. But, I had been dealing with these symptoms for months, and have been afraid my vision was going to be permanently damaged. And I was just treated like another cog in the wheel.

was never told that things have changed in the office and had to schedule a different appointment felt very let down should have been something in my chart or email or letter stating changes now had to take more time off work and loose my holiday pay

The doctor was very nice, friendly and easy to talk to.

From my contact with the scheduling person, the receptive people, the nurses/staff & the doctor, I could not have been treated better! Everyone I came in contact with was great!

He is kind, attentive to any question you ask, never makes you feel like his hand is on the doorknob and is one foot out the door. He is incredibly knowledgeable; did my cataract surgery and all went well with no complications. He also has a great sense of humor-the guy is a hoot! I have been his patient for several years and have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend Dr. Harpoon for any ophthalmology needs.

3-24-2022. Dr. Harooni performed cataract surgery on my left eye. Just before Covid started, The late Dr.McCarthy did my right eye. Dr. McCarthy was wonderful. Now I see Dr, Harooni and could not be happier! He is professional, personable and funny……the anesthesiologist, Dr. Firooz was commendable as well. Took his time explaining and next thing I knew I was in recovery. But I do remember that I requested a music change to the 4 Tops or The Temptations…….next I knew Dr. Harooni was singing ‘My Girl’ to me. I will only see Dr. Harooni from now on. THANK YOU, DR. HAROONI!

Doctor is Knowledgeable and professional, good listener, explained things clearly. Excellent team. Knowledgeable staff, great customer care.

Had to wait about 30 minutes once I was checked in, but after that, everything went along smoothly. The staff and Dr. Harooni are so friendly and informative and I have never felt rushed if I had a question to ask or anything.
