My mom goes to Hope Barkhurst. Any time I have interaction with them on behalf of my mom, they are less than responsive. Most recently my mom needed a prescription filled, which they did, but under the PAs names who is not an approved subscriber for Medicare. We made several phone calls but could not get thru to the doctors office. Not could the pharmacy. At one point we left a message for the doctor, they resubmitted the prescription, but using the PAs name again. The pharmacy tried calling and could not get thru I went to Barkhursts office where I waited for close to an hour to get a prescription handed to me. An hour to get a prescription signed and handed to me. This process has taken days. My mom needs these needs to live! My mom will be going to a new doctor after this.

I'll admit, I don't see Dr. Barkhurst, but only because she has a waiting list for new patients nine pages long. But I am a nurse and work with her on a regular basis. She is the BEST! She is family practice, but also does OB. When she delivers a baby she is very calm and supportive of the patient's wishes. The nurses all love her. We would clone her if we could. My understanding is she is not taking new patients, UNLESS it is an OB patient. She does take new pregnant patients.
