Dr. Hope Cordova, DO

Dr Cordova did my husband’s Thoracotomy, she is an amazing Cardio Thoracic Surgeon. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Her bedside manner is wonderful. If you are looking for a good surgeon we would highly recommend her!

Dr. Cordova performed a life saving emergency surgery on my father tonight. She was extremely thorough, explained in detail her surgical plans and the risks. She was very kind and compassionate, and although his condition was grave going into surgery we knew she was a God sent angel. After surgery she met with us to discuss the details, his response during the surgery, what to expect over the next several weeks, next steps in his healing process and answered all of our questions. She is a superior surgeon and a wonderful human being. Dr. Cordova makes the world a better place!

She actually read my medical history in my chart and had all but decided what needed to be done before walking in the room. Felt confident in her, she met the issues head on, felt relief in getting actual answers (not gaslit or passed around) and she did amazing on my surgery. I am progressing far faster than I expected to be. She made sure pain was under control before discharge, had no problem admitting back when it got bad after discharge. Her staff is amazing and nice. Only person I trust to care for my cardiothoracic needs. She absolutely knows what she is doing, is conservative when needs be, and focused and meticulous when further treatment is warranted. She remembers her patients and their history. I never felt like I had to explain my entire history just to get answers. She always walks in ready to figure it out (or already has it figured out before walking in), makes you feel comfortable in her expertise. Easy to talk to and genuinely listens, takes time, and cares.

She was probably just the doc on call when i came into the ER, but from the moment she came into my room, my husband and i felt like i was in the best hands. Her beside manner was not rushed, she explained everything with great detail, boldly expressed her belief that it was not serious which just blew us away. I've watched enough medical shows to know that surgeons don't give you a straight answer. But she gave us straight answers. She told us there was still a possibility it was bad, but she was confident as she explained what would happen. I felt safe in spite of what i was facing. I was wheeled into surgery knowing i was getting the best care.
