Dr. Howard Benensohn, MD

I have severe OCD. He put me on medication once he met me, didn't even take time to get to know me. I had a mental block about swallowing pills so he told me to ingest the powder, which I now know is the wrong thing to do. I was going through a tough time while he mismanaged my medication and instead of trying to help me, he sent me to the hospital. He told me I was just going to spend the night there, but he sent me to a locked psychiatric unit for a week and they loaded me full of more horrible meds. That event was traumatizing, and since then, I have been so mentally and physically damaged from being forced to take those meds. He never even had the decency to say sorry once, which would have gone a long way. His actions have deeply hurt me. I suffer every day and I will continue to suffer because of him. He never cared about me and just moved on after ruining my life.

I recommend him all of the time. He's a very experienced psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. In fact, he trains psychoanalyst. He's an adult and child psychoanalyst and is a highly sought after clinical supervisor. In addition to being very bright, he's very compassionate and caring.
