Too many people in such a small waiting room. Terrible odor in entire office. Good doctor; poorly run practice. Will find a replacement

Dr Chen performed two surgeries on my eyes. Plus my annual eye check-ups. He is very caring. I trust him 100%.

Appointment was a referral for my 83 yr old mother from her PCP. Informed office that she had a medical condition prohibiting mask use. Office said no problem. Got there, waited 45 min and was told Dr Howard Chen refused to see her if she didnt wear a mask. What kind of medical professional does such a thing?!!

Dr. Chen is the best! He just performed cataract surgery on me for both eyes. He implanted monovision lenses in my eyes and I no longer need glasses for reading or distance! I was very nervous about having the surgery and Dr. Chen put me at ease. He is a very caring doctor, which meant a lot to me. His receptionist, Veronica, is so nice and helpful, too. I am recommending Dr. Chen to all my friends and family members.

I saw Dr Chen this past Tuesday 19 June 18. he was impatient, inconsiderate. he poked and proded my eyes to where 2 days later they still hurt. i have diabetes and see him annually. i wont be going back.

Dr. Chen is very thorough & kind. It’s rare to find great doctors these days. Thank you Dr. Chen.

First visit long wait. He is very socially awkward and somewhat controlling. His receptionist was no longer there when I went for the next appt. He was handling check ins and patients himself. During the wait 2 police officers came in and talked to him in the back for 15 min.- no idea why. My vision did not improve with his care and prescriptions-not sure if it was his fault but just decided I would be more comfortable with a different dr.

Have been going to dr. Chen for 3 years. He is great and very concerned about your eyes. He is very formal at first until he gets to know you. When you ask him any questions he takes the time to answer all of them. I would recommend Dr. Chen to all my family and all my friends.

Dr Chen was recommended to my husband for treatment of cataracts and we found him to be professional, knowledgeable, courteous, caring and compasionate.. Would highly recommend.

George Burke was into see Dr. Howard Chen M.D. for a check up. Mr. Chen a recommended George to surgery on both of his eyes. George went back for his checkup with Dr. Howard Chen. Dr. Chen was very nice and told George exactly what he was doing for the check up Dr. Chen was very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and had mentioned that his eyes looked good. Beginning of December went to Dr Chen with severe eye problems. Explained my insurance was ending December 31st. He examined my eyes, I have severe damage both eyes due to a few factors It was decided I needed both laser treatment and cataract surgery. He walked me through the process also gave me the choice for second opinions, never pressured by him. Because of his professionalism and his sincere caring I opted to go with him, over the next week all procedures were corrected . ?? reccomend Him

I like Howard Chen. I am very satisfied with the quality and consistency of his care. I do not understand the negative comments of others. I am diabetic, three time cancer survivor and 75 years old. I received no hassles or any treatment less than supportive and responsive. He is task focused, but does answer questions. He has patients sit in waiting area while eyes dialate-no big deal. He performs all tests himself and is very thorough. Both of my cataract surgeries were successful.

When searching for an eye specialist, I actuallyI chose Dr. Chen because of his volunteer work helping needy people in America and other countries... maybe not the most important reason to choose a Dr., but it was for me. That being said,, I could not be more happy with having everything explained in detail, the actual procedure and the outcome., so much so that I traveled 23 hours by plane, to have the second procedure done.. Dr. Chen is a credit to his profession and community.

We husband and myself have been long time patients of Dr. Chen. Art has dementia so even though the care was mediocre we continued care here because change does not sit well with those suffering from denentia. Lynette always went out of her way to be kind to us. Recently I called the office to cancel Arts appointment since I regretfully had to put him in a home. Spoke to the doctor who was insensitive or rude about it. Later found that Lynette does not work. Need to find a new doctor.

I have been with Dr. Howard Chen for 3 years + now and He has treated me with respect and courtesy with the Health of my EYE Sight. Great Doctor...

Can see much more clearly after cataract surgery, would recommend to anyone that needs cataracts fixed.

Came in for diabetes check from my pcp. Was harassed regarding my a1c and then told to sit outside. Horrible treatment! I beg you now to come to this doctor. Do your research-read vital and yahoo reviews. Also ask your pcp to refer you someplace else.
