Dr. Howard Jones, MD

He is the best surgeon hands down. He removed a large 13 cm fibroid and my post op recovery has been super smooth.

At a follow-up appointment at Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, my previous endometriosis surgeon, Dr. Howard Jones failed me completely as a doctor. While waiting in the exam room, I heard the woman who did my intake tell Dr. Jones that I was there to discuss pain management options with him. I heard it all and from my understanding, he then proceeded to say something along the lines of "What, does she think that she's going to just come in here and walk out with a bunch of pain scripts?"- implying that I was nothing more than a "drug seeker", rather than a chronically ill individual struggling to survive my endometriosis. I immediately got dressed and walked out of the office sobbing hysterically. I've been dismissed by doctors for my pain many times and have so much medical trauma that I expect most doctors to fail me. However, I did NOT expect this from a doctor who claims to "focus on treatment of pelvic pain and endometriosis" on their online Valley Hospital physician page.

Dr. Jones performed a robotic hysterectomy surgery on me in July, 2019. From my consultation visit and up to the day of surgery, he and his staff stressed on me that they would put me on a pain management plan to reduce pain after my surgery. Although I wasn't skeptical, I did not put much thought into it. Well this was the fourth time that I had to have abdominal surgery (and be opened up) and I cannot believe how little pain I felt. I actually woke up in post-op with ZERO pain. It was an unbelievable experience. I figured that once the anesthesia wore off, I would be in pain. Normally, I was given a button to push to administer the pain medication after previous surgeries. Not only did I not need that, but my pain level was probably a 1 ! I would recommend Dr. Jones any day of the week. He is kind, thorough (does not rush through visits) and his staff are all kind and courteous as well. One of the best parts is knowing your pain will be managed & will be minimal!

Dr. Jones took his time to listen to my symptoms and reviewed my test results. He was very thorough, detailed and asked many questions. He was very reassuring and knowledgeable. He is a great professional and I am happy to be in his care.

I am scheduled to have a total hysterectomy after having a cunsultation with Dr. Jones, while I admit having alot of fear and anxiety... I found him very personable understanding and very thorough...I am thankful my GYN doctor dirrected me to him. I'm hoping for minimal scaring, speedy recovery and to get back on my Harley. His staff was amazingly friendly and caring. I've worked in the medical field, I can tell I'm in good hands.

I sat with Dr Jones for what I thought was a complicated procedure. Dr. Jones spent at least 40 minutes with me, answering questions, reassuring me with grace, humility and a great sense of humor. I’d highly recommend him

Dr Jones and his staff are caring, knowledgeable and wonderful people. They seem to really care about the well being of their patients from the moment I went to my first appt, thru my hysterectomy and post op. I am so happy I was referred to him and will recommend him to anyone who needs his expertise. Thank you!
