Dr Weiss is an extremely knowledgeable physician and an excellent surgeon. He recently removed both of my cataracts with outstanding results.

Dr. Weiss had been my regular ophthalmologist when I worked in DC. After I moved to a smaller town, and my eyes developed cataracts, I returned to Dr. Weiss' care, even though this meant 2.5 hr drives each way. Dr. Weiss' care and attention to detail inspire that kind of confidence. The discussion of the advantages, possible disadvantages, and rare but non-zero hazards of cataract surgery was clear and extensive. Dr. Weiss wanted to make sure I had a clear idea of the possible outcomes before making a decision, and that I would not have unrealistic expectations. Once we decided on a plan of action, the preparation for the two surgeries was meticulous. The support staff was efficient and caring. Dr. Weiss continued to inform me at each step what to expect, and the outcomes for my vision have been way beyond my expectations; I am extremely pleased with the quality and acuity of my post-surgical vision. From the moment I went to Dr. Weiss for the consultation, to the final day when he said I was good to go forth and see the world, I was impressed by his knowledge and skill, and the office staff's efficiency and kindness. The office runs like a well oiled machine, with each employee carrying out an important task that leads clients through the process smoothly. There are many tests that need to be performed on each patient before and after being surgery, and the well-organized staff performing those exams are professional and personable. In 2020, my 80-year old mother finally underwent cataract surgery for both eyes which were covered in thick cataracts. Dr. Weiss explained and answered all of our questions and performed the surgeries with very positive outcomes. His surgical team and clinic staff are first rate. My mother could see so well she developed a habit of picking lint off everything! She went back this summer (2024) for Yag laser capsulotomy surgery for her left eye which developed secondary occlusions in the lens capsule (happens to 20% of patients post-cataract surgery generally) that doesn't get removed during cataract surgery, causing blurriness. It took less than a minute with no pain. My mother had a follow up visit and her visual acuity is back to 20-30!

I have been seeing Dr. Weiss as an opthalmologist for about ten years. He also performed lens replacement surgery for my cataracts.
