Pre-surgery meeting with anesthesiologist. She was outstanding. Listened well, helpful and a kind unhurriied energy (even though I'm sure her schedule was full)

Yes, as others have said, awkward and rude.
Went in for a relatively simple procedure which ended up not solving the problem. Fine, it happens, but she couldn't be honest about it and instead chose to be dismissive and rude.

Terrible. She was rude, rushed, failed to take a history, and ignored history taken by her NP. Her exam was both very rough and completely cursory. Some of her recommendations skirted the standard of care. Very disturbing visit. Office staff and nurse practitioners at this clinic are wonderful. However, this does not make up for a rude surgeon with questionable recommendations. Generous with narcotics for what that’s worth. Not what I’m looking for in a surgeon.

I have a very tight rectum and rectal exams are almost always very painful. Dr. Chern examined me recently. She was extremely gentle. First time ever I’ve had this exam with absolutely no pain. Also, every member of her staff I've talked to has been very encouraging and uplifting. I would definitely recommend Dr. Chern to others.
