Dr. Starks has been caring for my 16 yo daughter for a few years now. He's great to have in your corner. He's gotten us into almost immediate appointments. He always calls me back when I ask, even if it's after hours. He LISTENS to my thoughts and suggestions. He works with us through it all. He always finds a solution to our needs. We left him at one point early on because I thought he didn't know what he was doing. After dealing with quite a few others and leaving them with their jaws on the floor, I realized that my daughter's case is so rare that NO ONE knew what was happening. I've had people tell me straight out that her case is way above their education and capabilities and cannot help. Dr. Starks was never intimidated by it and has always remained honest, which I NEED. Yes, he is a talker. If you can get past that, you will see his super powers and realize you are in good hands!

Absolutely DO NOT go here
'Dr.' Sparks is one of the most narcissistic people I've ever dealt with. He talked constantly about how smart he is and acted like a mere mortal like myself couldn't understand the mind and how it works. Every time I tried to ask a question he interrupted and did not answer. He did not address most of the reasons I sought out psychiatric treatment for my grandson, only dealing with one of several issues. DO NOT take your child to him. Even my 12-year-old grandson saw him for what he is. I can see why it's so easy to get a quick appointment - once you've seen him, you won't go back.

WORST PSYCHIATRY EVER
First and last time, he did not even try to listen my concerns about my child, he keep talking about how much he knows, he gets out of the office trying to find you "resources" more times than necessary, he was on the phone all the time and just talk to me like if a did not know anything, even when I was trying to express my concerns, he would not even let me finish a sentence.

This man is a complete narcissist & has no business being a psychiatrist. I was under his care at the Norfolk Regional Center several years ago & he took great joy in mentally & emotionally abusing me & his other patients- particularly the younger females. He's sadistic, cruel & has no empathy. I was even warned by nursing staff to beware & tread lightly. I was supposed to be a patient at that facility for 6-8 weeks and he kept me there for over 2 years, just because he could. He would intentionally antagonize me & keep me from visiting my children just to get a negative reaction, all the while smirking about it. He would then use that as an excuse to keep me there longer. In my personal opinion he is a monster. He in no way should be treating anyone, especially children. They will come out far worse for it! Avoid this quack at all costs!

He treats his psychology practice as his hobby of philosophy. I found out more about him being "the best psychiatrist " there is, about his vacations, his rental homes, his tenants who he talked to on his cell phone while in session with me and gave them free rent for Jan of 2019. He withheld my medication for 24 hours putting me in withdrawals. He acted like I knew nothing. Never asked about my mental health. Asked odd questions that had nothing to do with me or my mental health. Rude
