Terse, dismissive and at times rude.
Came in with abnormal hormone levels. Being younger, he was very dismissive and suggested all my “symptoms” weren’t real. But reluctantly agreed to testing. Sat on the results for over 10 weeks and didn’t return my calls for an update. Finally after 5 calls in a 72 hr period called me and informed me that my levels were very high indicating a tumor. Seemed rushed and provided very little information. He recommended an MRI. Office staff refused to call my insurance for a pre authorization stating that they were too busy and would get to it in a few weeks. I didn’t even need one. Went in for an MRI and he sat on the results for multiple days. I called multiple times and he finally called back clearly annoyed and again rude. MRI revealed a relatively large tumor. Didn’t explain if it was cancer and pushed me off the phone. Generally awful, frustrating, scary and stressful experience. He had no desire to explain things and the amount of time he sat on my information was unacceptable.

Not the Doc for Older Women
Dr. Nguyen doesn't care if your a1C is below diabetic and only cares if you're already obese and diabetic. Mine fluctuates between pre-diabetic and high and the Dr. said " that's normal." It's not. There's type 2 in my family and I'm trying hard not to get it. When asked about weight (I can't lose the 15 lbs that I should) and being hungry all the time ( I eat very clean and exercise contantly) he said eat less (No kidding?)... I have hair loss, brittle nails, and am fatigued. He offered no solution at all. Just said it wasn't thyroid. If you're sub-clinical Hypothyroid, don't bother going there. Doesn't undstand post menopausal women's issues. Said my BMI was fine. 1. BMI is an outdated standard. 2. If we look at my BMI , it's not fine. Also said no reason that insurance would cover a glucose monitor, when in fact there is, He just refuses to look at prventitive care. Go elsewhere.

Dr. Nguyen is the BEST!!! He is super knowledgeable and easy to talk to and really listens to me and has helped me tremendously. I was with another doctor before and I am so, so, so glad I switched to him. Nothing but amazing things to say about him! If you need a endo, this is the one for you!
