Dr. Ian Reight, MD

Took my mom for a long awaited surgery with Dr. Reight, where he ran late from the case before. This is fine, we know things happen. However, all morning in pre-op the nurses assured my mom he would be in to answer her questions and concerns prior to surgery. When he came in, he said hello and then left, never answering any questions. After the nurse asked him to return, he acted like we were putting him out and was extremely dismissive of my mothers concerns (which later proved to be for good reason!) Since surgery, Dr. Reight has been extremely condescending and dismissive about my mother's post-op symptoms, sometimes implying she is making them up. He has little to no bedside manor, and rushes through her follow up visits, making rude comments like 'i see you've brought your list' when my mother has written down things she'd like to ask about. I'm dissatisfied with the level of care and compassion my mother is receiving.

Rude, condescending and literally insulted me. Wouldn’t let him touch me with a 10 ft pole, nevermind surgery! Patient beware!!!

Dr Reight cared for my elderly father who is also hard of hearing. Dad was in need of surgery for a large hernia and had lots of questions and concerns. Dr Reight was so patient, gave thorough explanations and options for Dads care. He ensured my Dad understood, prior to leaving the visit. Prior to surgery, Dr Reight again stopped to see Dad and our family to ensure we all understood the procedure. The surgery went very well, and we were all so relieved. Top notch care, top notch results, amazing surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Reight by someone who was in need of surgery and went to him. After meeting Dr. Reight I understood why this person was so passionate when speaking about Dr. Reight. He is both professional and kind and listed to what I had to say. My personal outcome went as planned and his follow-up and geniune concern for my health has continued, for that I am forever grateful.

When you go to see a surgeon you are out of your element. Dr Reight went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and that all our questions were answered in words that we would understand. The surgery went exactly as planned and his follow-up and compassion were just amazing.

I had a ventral hernia repair with Reight. After 9 months it recurred. It took 18 months to schedule a repair for this. When I was in the prep room awaiting the surgery for 5 hours, he came in and cancelled the surgery. The next week when I was in the car on my way for the rescheduled surgery, he called and cancelled again. If I could give him no stars I would. I changed surgeons and hospitals.
