Dr. Ignacio Duarte, MD

Dr. Duarte and his staff need to be given a thousand-star review! Dr. Duarte was very detail oriented in his discussion about my surgery--yet he explained everything in 'layman's terms.' I knew what to expect before, during and after my surgery. He took whatever time was necessary to answer all my questions as well as those of family members. His excellent bedside manner should be a lesson for all doctors to follow. Amazing!!Aside from being an excellent surgeon, he is a warm and compassionate person who spends time at your bedside to 'shoot the breeze'---in other words, as 'down to earth as they come!' I would recommend Dr. Duarte to EVERYONE looking for a great cardiac surgeon. Also, thank you to his awesome staff who were very, very helpful with everything I needed done. I appreciate all of you!

From the moment we walked in we were greeted and treated very professionally. Usually the front desk is chaotic at most doctor offices but not here. Amanda and Carol were great. Nurse Erin and Rob were thorough and great. Dr. Duarte was very calm and caring and explained everything so well.

This team is the best by far. Had a quadruple bypass 11 years ago back on Delaware and the card I received then was nothing compared to the care I received with this team just 4 weeks ago having a double bypass done Highly and strongly recommend this team

This was my first visit. Prior to this visit, I had several conversations with the staff. Great first impressions that were reinforced upon meeting them all. Dr Duarte is friendly, provides detailed, yet understandable information. He listened and answered all of my questions. At no time did he act like he was eager to finish in order to move on to the next patient. I was impressed.

Met with Dr Duarte on 2/16/21 to discuss the problems I have. The Dr took the time with me and I wasn't rushed. I understand what needs to be done

I met Dr. Duarte after my cardiologist had directed the necessary testing and medical information gathering. Dr. Duarte was very warm and friendly and his presence said, 'I'm here to help you!' And I had absloutely no doubt that was his motive and inspiration. He explained in layman's terms how the procedure would take place and gave a good overview of the recovery process. If I ever need similar help in the future, I know who I would go to because a sense of trust welled up in me during our initial visit. And so I expected a very successful outcome and am now on the way to full recovery.

My surgery was performed and the doctors, nurses, and PA were exceptionally thoughtful and considerate. Taking time to explain things that I needed to know. I would highly recommend their practice to anyone looking for a thoracic surgeon..

Went as we expected. It was informative.

In February 2015 I was brough in through the emergency room on a Sunday afternoon with a heart attack. After it was determined that a stent would not do the job, Dr. Duarte was called in to do open heart surgery. At that point I was literally near death. Dr. Duarte did a fantastic job. I had a cardiac CAT scan that shows that the bypasses that he created are working fine.

Great surgeon. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Takes whatever time required to answer all questions of the patient and family members. Excellent bedside manner. Thanks for the great care.

Dr. Duarte's profesional skills are on the top of the scale. This meshed with his personal care and attention are an unbeatable mix. 10 on a scale of 10
