Dr. Igor Cherches, MD

I was amazed and impressed by Dr. Cherches' attention to detail, extremly thorough examination conducting several test himself as well as providing orders for MRI's for tests by 2 other specialists. He spent an hour with me!!!!!

Dr. Cherches has treated me for vertigo, balance problems, and pain arising from a neurodegenerative condition. He listened to my symptom complaints and asked questions that led to a solid diagnosis. He has a wonderful bedside manner (rare these days) and was especially gentle when moving or positioning my body (while I was in pain) for diagnosis and treatment. He gave me a referral to a surgeon who successfully corrected two previously unsuccessful back operations. He gave me clear instructions and demonstrated the rehab exercises I did at home. He is the best doctor I have ever had for my neurological issues.

Takes care of business. Also very friendly. Staff is great also.

Dr Cherches had no clue what my symptoms were when I went in a year ago Oct '22. Turns out I had neuro long Covid. But he must not even be aware there's such a thing?! I figured it out on my own by lots of researching after my visit (my MRI came back clear for M.S. and he did not think I had Parkinson's bc I had no weakness but did have neuropathy and tremors). So not knowing what I had at my follow up he just blew me off! Its ridiculous he was so clueless! Waste of time and money! I came to a neuro Dr at UT Physicians and they knew exactly what neuro long Covid was! Smh

Michelle Martin was so amazing! She gets 5 stars. Dr. Cherches never explained the test he was doing, and it took over a month to get the test results after 17 phone calls. I had to interpret the results myself. His staff never returned my calls and never gave any of my messages to Michelle Martin. I cried because no one would help me. The migraine preventative medicine made me gain 13 pounds in one week and I could not afford the medicine $1,600 for 14 pills. I tried to contact Ms. Martin, but no one would give her my messages. I have since contacted another doctor for help. I'm very sorry if I offended anyone in that office, I was just trying to get my test results.

Dr. Cherches has a very good bed side manner, he answers all of my questions well, and will work with you to find the best solution for your pain. I've had complex migraines for years. His office staff is so helpful with everything from scheduling, work releases, and insurance issues. . I highly recommend Dr. Cherches for anyone with migraine issues.

Ordered a plethora of test including blood test-MRI’s- lumbar puncture, never communicated results or follows up. Lots of different phone administrators are who call you to give your results. No clear understanding of what the results meant, left with many more questions than answers.

Excellent visit. From the front desk checking me in, Dr. Cherches, who was outstanding, thorough, listened and took my fear away, the tech who did the EMG and the NCD, and the checkout team- everybody was superb.

My experience from beginning to end was Superior from every single individual who works for and with Dr. Cherches. He is an amazing Neurologist and am now a dedicated patient for life. Everyone in his office are all models for who I would want working for and with me. Dr. Cherches is one of the finest, down to earth neurologists I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Dr. Cherches and his every one of the individuals in his office "all" went above and beyond the "call of duty" to help me and I appreciate them more than they will ever know. I would highly recommend he and his team to anyone with back, nerve and spine (vertebrae) issues, damage etc. They saved my "quality of life". I had an "Awesome Experience" from beginning to "this moment" (healing, but moving in the right direction)

Went there to find out why I was having nerve pain on my right side down to about my upper thigh and left with new deliberating nerve pain behind my knee that has continued for almost a year now. The pain is so bad it keeps me up most nights and causes difficulty walking ( in particular up stairs). The man that did the nerve conduction tests on me zapped behind my knee and when my body jumped he told me he enjoyed inflicting pain, I think he was trying to be funny but it was odd and unprofessional. Then after completing the other areas where he put electrodes he went back to the one behind my right knee and did it again and that the the one that destroyed that nerve. I went there for help and left there worse off than when I came. Additionally, the Dr was very dismissive and tried to make it sound like the pain was in my head. Fast forward to CT scans and MRIs to find spinal damaged causing pressure on the nerves that cause the original nerve pain. Wish I never went here!

He only communicates findings (aneurysm) thru his admin (not even a nurse) to busy to do follow ups unless you want to schedule 4 to 5 months out. Offers no written follow up report either. I in the process of a formal report to board. Be warned.

he must have been having a bad day at the time of my appointment. He did not listen to my questions at all and immediately jumped into planning test after test after test..............I may be crazy - but I want a doctor with compassion and time for me. I do not recommend him at all

I have been a patient for over 15 years. Dr. Cherches always shows compassion and empathy. I can’t imagine a better care partner.

Brilliant doctor. With just some questions and an exam he was able to diagnose and treat a problem the other 4 neurologists I saw couldn’t. Instant improvement in quality of life

Dr. Cherches is very knowledgeable and thorough. He takes the time to explain and answer any questions. He makes his patients feel at ease. He's an outstanding doctor.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. THANKFULLY my pharmacist noticed I am allergic to the medication that was called in for me was the same medication I had an anaphylactic reaction to. This time it was a nasal spray so could have been even more harmful to me than when I took it orally and went into anaphylactic shock. NEGLEGENT. TOO BUSY TO CHECK A CHART TO VERIFY ALLERGIES. When I called them to let them know they were not apologetic or even seemed to care that what could have happened to me.

I have been seeing Dr Vherches since 2014. He listens very attentively to whatever I say and acts appropriately. I have always been very impressed by his intelligence, his caring and his attempts to alleviate whatever is happening in my body at the time. He is obviously highly respected by other physicians as I am often told he is one of the best.

Exceptional Doctor. Wonderful bedside manners and very concerned with my nerve pain. Simple medication fixed my months of agony. Blessed to have found him! Highly recommended!
