Performed whipple procedure on my husband Sam cannot express our gratitude for his staff and his expertise,his kindness, as we went through this awful time. I remember visiting Dr. Pidhorecky for the first time, feeling scared after being diagnosed with DFSP. From the moment we met, he was professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He took the time to explain everything in detail, even drawing diagrams to show me exactly what the procedure would involve. When I left his office that day, I felt relieved and confident that I had found someone capable of doing a great job. As my surgery date approached, I started feeling anxious and had more questions. I went back to his office, and despite my concerns, Dr. Pidhorecky remained patient and understanding. He calmly explained the procedure again, addressing my worries and reassuring me. Once more, I left his office feeling at ease.Being only 29 years old and facing cancer on my breast, this experience was overwhelming. Dr. Pidhorecky collaborated with Dr. Kwee, a plastic surgeon who was equally professional and kind. Together, they performed my surgery on December 30th, and I am doing great!

Dr. P is an exceptional doctor. He is compassionate and makes you feel special. I would definitely recommend him.

I was found with two nodules in my thyroid. My primary physician referred me to Dr. Ihor Pidhorecky for an evaluation, where we agreed to undergo surgery. In a moment of uncertainty the best that could have happened to me was to be placed within Dr. Pidhorecky’s care. On our first visit he gave me a lot of confidence and a lot of hope. He explained to me exactly what the procedures were going to be, which left me feeling calm.His team was in constant communication with me and assigned me my time and hospital location for the surgery. Dr. Pidhorecky is the "Michelangelo" of surgical oncologists. He has performed several cancer related surgeries on me with excellent results each & every time. His minimally invasive surgical technique & flawless precision with a scalpel has resulted in no complications, very limited pain, and a swift recovery time. What`s most impressive that any of my scarring each time from all of my procedures have quickly healed & rapidly faded in comparison to other operations unrelated to my cancer that were performed by different surgeons in the past. He also employs a competent & caring office staff. I highly recommend him!

I begin saying that the office staff is the best and that’s the first impression of a doctors office. Dr Pidhorecky has such a calm demeanor that it made me feel at ease, he explained in details what was happening with me and we proceeded to schedule my surgery. The day of the surgery was such a tranquil day, his bed manners are the best and that gave me the confidence that I needed. Today was the follow up visit and everything was a success. Dr Pidhorecky did my surgery in Aug’23 and every time a dr I see wants to know who was my surgeon & when I tell them they all say the same thing, “he’s an excellent surgeon. He was excellent. My 92 year old mother had melanoma cancer on her back which went into her left underarm lymph nodes. Dr Pidhorecky was able to not only get the tumor but removed the lymph nodes & she is now cancer free & doesn’t have to have any chemo. PRAISE GOD FOR DR PIDHORECKY. I can’t THANK HIM ENOUGH.

His office staff is wonderful especially Julie as they all want to make you comfortable for your visit. Dr. Pidhorecky has the experience and the ability to relate to you and your family. He seems to want to educate you about your experience and to also make your family feel comfortable about your care. He is updated on information and gives back by teaching medical students. His surgery technique leaves you looking the best you possibly can and he refers you to other cancer specialists and works with them on your care. I would say taking all this into consideration including the respect his peers have for him, that you could not be in better hands.

My husband was diagnosed with breast cancer, rare for men. We were referred to Dr. Pidhorecky for surgery to remove a nodule in his left breast. He saw us immediately upon the referral, fully explained the biopsy results and the procedure to be performed. He was extremely patient and compassionate with us and answered all the questions we had. Although my husband had an "it is what it is" attitude, I was a mess because we had never dealt with a cancer diagnosis before and didn't know what to expect. Dr. Pidhorecky's remarkable skills as a surgeon, his compassion and extreme patience with me, got us through this trying time with as little anxiety as possible. Now, my husband has been referred to a medical oncologist for further treatment. We both know he was in the best possible hands for surgery and know what to expect going forward. They always called me back when they said they would call me back. When I met with Dr. Pidhorecky, he wasn't rushed or rushing. He answered my questions and listened to my concerns.
