Disappointed
I have been going to him for over 10 years and I have underlyin the conditions. Recently I've had some issues that felt different than my normal issue so I made an appointment. New office . I had a 9:30 AM appointment I got there at 9:20 and I was out of the office by 938. The assistant examined me. I was trying to explain to him what my symptoms were. I noticed that he was not listening to me at all but rather he was on his microphone doing his doctors notes summarizing my visit and just chopped everything up to an existing condition. AS I WAS TALKING!!! Rather than to take the precautions, he would just refill my prescriptions. Aggitated and in pain, I left and came back and ask him if he could at least test me for H PYLORI and he said no because I was asymptomatic. How would he know that without testing me? I found another doctor and I'm not going back to him.. I don't appreciate being treated like a cash cow where my health is concerned.

Dr. Ikramuddin is the one of the best gi doctors I have seen. He is very compassionate and has empathy for his patients, which is a trait that seems to be lost by a lot of doctors nowadays. If you have gi issues that need treated, then trust that you will not be dissappointed with this doctor!

I went to Dr Ikramuddin for a colonoscopy simply to rule out any GI reason for pelvic pain I had been having. I did not have a single GI-related symptom, and no family history of it. Although he was very pleasant and did his best to be sure that the procedure was stress free, I discovered later that part of the pre-procedure bloodwork was GENETIC testing that insurance doesn’t cover and I am now stuck with an $800 bill for testing that wasn’t needed and I wasn’t told about. I won’t go back.
